I'm really enjoying this so far. Yeah I noticed the guys from Predator as well and I agree the theme song sucks.

I'm digging this show and I don't have a problem with the theme song. It's more fun to listen to than the crummy rock guitar riff from JLU ever was.
It's great being Lord of the Thundercats - especially hanging out with Cheetara - but the one draw back is that He-Man can still beat me up.

Nick Fury being black started in the Ultimate Avengers comic book series and was carried over into the MARVEL films. He was patterned after Samuel L. Jackson right from the inception of the comic book. I think it's a better alternative to the David Hasselhoff version. Remember that movie?

As far as the AVENGERS cartoon series, I'm glad it's satisfying a lot of fanboys' Marvel appetites. For me I wish MARVEL and DISNEY would tap into better animators.

My main problem with the theme song is, it doesn't sound like a theme song for an animated series it sounds more like something your average teen would have playing on their Ipod while they ignore you.

And I agree on the animation, while it does seem as cheaply and as rushed as many of their other series I would have thought with teaming with Disney they would have had much better animation.

I finally got a chance to see A-EMH last night as Disney XD had a marathon going.

It's not bad. It's actually a lot better than I expected it to be. I had fears that it would be as bad as some of those Spider-Man toons from the '90s. The writing isn't bad at all... the animation and art direction is not that bad as I thought it might be. I wish it had more of the feel that Hulk Vs. Thor/Wolverine had.

The only thing that really bugged me was Nick Fury. What's up with the Sam Jackson version of Fury with David Hasslehoff's versions' hair? I was hoping for more of The Ultimates treatment on him.

Overall, it's not bad. It's not good enough for me to rush out and buy it on iTunes, but it's good enough to watch whenever it' on Disney XD .

The main Disney XD audience is probably why they chose that theme song.

Finally getting around to watching this and I love it so far.

The theme doesn't bother me much. I love the little cameos all though (Wolverine in the Howling Commandos, Punisher in the newspaper, etc). I'd like to see other Marvel heroes show up more... maybe an episode where the Avengers goes to the X-men for help, or FF.

The only part that really throws me out of the game every time I see him is Nick Fury. I wouldn't mind if it was the Sam Jackson Fury... I'd perfer classic Fury... but whenever I see this amalgamation of the two, I always groan a little.

Other than that, I'm enjoying it so far.

the cameos are cool. and i agree, i'd love to see more characters that aren't traditional avengers members. it looks like it could happen more though. in some of the last few episodes, the FF do show up.

It plays on Sundays 10:00 am Eastern.

They have changed the title music a little and they have had appearances by the Fantastic Four, MODOK, and Bucky Barnes.

The next episode is titled "Ultron-5".

There is also a mini-3 episode marathon this Sunday from 10:30 PM til 12:00am EST that has the episodes from the last two weeks and the episode I just listed above.

    Please watch and Discuss more.

Its a hard show to discuss because it isn't running the same schedule world-wide.

In the US, they've only aired through Episode 21. But all 26 episodes finished airing in Australia almost a month and a half ago.

So many people here have seen the whole season, while others are 5 episodes behind. It makes it hard to discuss because people don't want to spoil the later episodes for those that haven't seen them, and its can be difficult to talk about episodes that you saw over a month ago.

I have seen them all, great series. Though I absolutely hate the single volume releases they are doing. Just release it in a single season set.

I understand why they do the volume releases, but for the price of the full season at $15 a disc it'll cost roughly $75.00 and that's IF they release all of the volumes before they do the season set. Where a full season will roughly be $39.95.

I'm still waiting for Ben 10 Alien Force and season 2 of Spectacular Spider-Man and they've been over for a while. I'm not sure what the deal is, but for some shows the individual volumes may be the only way to get them for sure if the full season sets never happen. At least the Avengers volumes have like 7 episodes instead 3-4.

I saw an episode the other day, based on Asgard. I really liked it. Loved the animation. So much so that I'm thinking of buying the region 1 DVDs.

This is probably one of the few decent show running on A crappy network designed for the male version of 'Hanna Montana's target demographic, and it's sad that it has to share space with junk like 'Zeke, and Luthor', 'Pair Of Kings', 'I'm In The Band',and 'The Suite Life'.

Nothing new, but if anyone missed this, a few preview images from season 2.

Thor's new look! I think it's cool we get to see Thor in both classic and new costume.

Nick Fury gets a hair cut, I never liked his hair in season 1, glad to see him look like Samuel Jackson.

The Guardians of the Galaxy! How cool is that!?

Vision and Falcon! These two have to become regulars.

And finally the character I'm looking forward the most as a new addition to the team: Ms. Marvel! I'm happy they used her classic costume, I bet they'll change it for the current one by season 3 (if we get a third season, I wish we do, I love this series)

I just started watching this and am addicted, I noticed there was no toyline for this?

How is that even possible given the great depictions of each character

Its exactly how you do an animated adaption. The stories are fun and exciting, the stakes are huge, the heroes and villains use their powers intelligently.

Plus its clear the creators really "get" the Avengers. Nods to everything from the Kirby days to the Ultimate line. But they don't try to literally adapt comic stories - they take familiar pieces, and do them in a new way.

This is probably the best Avengers cartoon ever made. That's not tough since there was only one other and possibly the Iron Man show from the mid-90's that kinda had the West Coast Avengers.
But, with that being said, the difference to me is that they were able to keep the Hulk as a member while balancing the big 3 of the group. Big 4 if you include the Hulk. They have given characters like Hawkeye and Black Panther their due while not making Hank Pym boring. I can't wait to see Vision and Falcon and I am really excited for Ms. Marvel. Love that 70's look. Maybe some She-Hulk love eventually? Hercules?

I really like how they handle Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Panther in this.

They really are taking a no one is bigger than the group type aspect which I enjoy!

Hawkeye certainly has been great fun, his friendship with Hulk has had some hilarious moments.
I can't pick a favorite character from the series (in the comics Cap is my favorite Avenger), they have handled all characters real good, no let downs for me. It will be sad when they remove anyone from the team to make room for a new roster.

I'm no fan of Hercules, but I would definitely love to see Shulkie in the series. Scarlet Witch too.
