I'm guessing that the Close Combat stuff is going to be compatible with everything else, as they all use the Glyos connectors? So they could be used to beef up the current Armory sets?

Hopefully ItsAllTrue.net will have some pictorials soon. They always go over the top with their weapon accessory reviews. Can't wait to see it.

Nice! Those figs look like a cross between Battle Beasts and Muscle Things. Love the close combat sets, those will go great with Cy-Chop.

Anyone at the con, ask them if you stop by their booth, I posted this a few times and haven't heard a response.

So no more Chaylbus hammers even if we were on the waitlist??

    Thanks

Thank you for that shot of Skeletor holding some of the weapons. It seems like this set kinda replicates the Roboto/Trap Jaw weapons they sold before the Armory series. Any chance you can do some shots of these pieces with Trap Jaw/Roboto, and some shots of the parts interacting with the Armory pieces?

Thanks man! That was all the info I was lookin' for. These are a really great size for the price, considering that they're independent figures.

The new close combat stuff looks great. Too bad it's not available in black, I would have loved to get a set for Trap Jaw.

Which of the colorways will work best with Cy-Chop?
    Awesome sticker included!

Hey all - I started a new thread just for Weaponeers of Monkaa in the Other Forum since I figured they deserved their own thread as they are a new property.

As for the new Close Combat sets, they ad some nice options to mix in with the other weapons sets. There are some very cool pieces in them.

Just placed my order for the new armory pieces. Looking forward to them!

I could only order those sets, due to the very high shipping. Otherwise I would have bought more product (not enough to justify a second order, though).

Not really into the Weaponers, just their weapons. I already own almost all the new weapon sets and the Weaponer's add ons for $5 a set at Power Con looked delicious. The scythe was the main selling point for all of them.

Neon green works for Skeletor's crew really well.

Trapjaw finally has his 200x hook and blasters are always welcome

Spikor made Skeletor one as well

And of course the scythes are perfect for reapers...(still need a glow in the dark set for him)

Roboto created a swiss army arm cannon (These I'm saving for Cy-Chop)

Great pics, man. I appreciate your work! I have builds in my head that aren't being done on any of these pictorials. I hope they're possible. For some reason I'm almost more excited for my Spymonkey stuff than I am for next month's MOTUC!

Thanks Hadley! I usually try and keep my builds fairly simple in review/article posts and keep the big builds for other stuff or forum posts. I'd rather show people the basics and let them discover the complex build on their own. I'm sure your ideas are very possible, the glyos peg system is so versatile that almost anything is possible given the right parts. I would love to check out some of your builds sometime.

I'm afraid of the weapon sets becoming a huge gateway drug into Glyos figures!

Hm...maybe they'll make a biological wave one day instead of robots. Perhaps something that can stand in for Modulok! Oh, perchance to dream...

Glyos is a great line run by an amazing dude, plus the toys are really cheap price wise.

most of the characters actually are organic just wearing armor and stuff. for the record

Those weapon packs look great! I saw them at Power-Con but sadly, my budget was tight that weekend. Fortunately, I did pick up one of my favorite pieces at Spy Monkey's booth...The Dungeon Grate! I finally had a chance to paint it, keeping it mostly like the vintage sticker but with some minor tweaks...

Awesome paint-up of that grate, there! It's by Working Class Villains (who shared table space with SMC.) I tried to win the painted one at the auction but I lost out. I am planning on getting one and painting it up, though it makes me a wee bit nervous.

If you liked the first armory series, the close combat sets are a must have. I love how they look with the snake men.
