Love the NA answer. That was my exact thought when I originally read the question.![]()
Mattel has once again provided answers to your questions.
Thanks again to them for taking the time to answer these!
Check out their answers to your Round 47 questions!
This round of questions were selected by Scorpia,
and proofed against old Q&As by Uncle Montork.
Thanks to them for their help!
-------------------
1. grenadaspice:
While you said you currently can't discuss any figures pass King Hsss, it was previously stated that the Faceless One was tentatively scheduled to be released in May 2011. Is that still the case?
Actually, no. He slipped out a month or more. He had more development than expected and the Horsemen asked us to swap him for another character in the 2011 line-up who would be easier to do.
2. CarKrash:
You have revealed that the next NA figure will be a Galactic Guardian. Will you say whether or not this figure is one of the 4 A-List Variants we get in a year, or is he one of the regular 12 monthly figures?
What you are really asking is if NA He-Man is coming later this year due to the parts he shares with Bow. For that, you will need to wait and see!
3. Toymaker:
After the Octavia answer in the latest round of questions, would this also mean Dylamug, who appears in the Tomart catalogue, is also off limits?
Correct. Characters who first appeared in Filmation without also appearing in the 200X line/show are not available in the current line (even if Mattel employees had a hand in their creation).
4. Count Marzo:
Any idea on what type of packaging can we expect the Weapons Rack and other "dioramas" to come in?
It will be on a card similar to the Weapon Pak.
5. Scorpia:
Would you ever consider including up-and-coming figures on the reverse of packaging? (ie, Bow and King Hsss on Buzz Off's cardback, the April figure on Vikor's cardback, etc). I think it would serve as a good means of promotion and whet fans' appetites for future releases in addition to the online and convention figure reveals.
It would, except we usually don’t have those figures ready by the time a package is released.

Love the NA answer. That was my exact thought when I originally read the question.![]()
Where's that thread where people were arguing with me because I said TG said May's Faceless One was "tentative." In YO FACE!
My seller/trader/buyer feedback:
http://he-man.org/forums/boards/showthread.php?t=195461
MOTUC Most Wanted: Skeletor's Robot Knights, Two-Bad, Horde Troopers, Modulok, Sssqueeze, Tung Lashor, Stridor, Night Stalker, the Battle Ram, and a true, alternate head for Wun-Dar (since he's a "different" character)!
Unless that character was in the PoP Style guide like Adora and She-ra...
/Bangs head on wall in frustration.
I would like to petition they do EVERYTHING they CAN to do that... Not even as cross promotion.. that wouldn't work at all.. The only people who SEE these cardbacks are the ones who who already KNOW how to get them... and can check the site themselves...
Personally I just consider it a big slap in the face when they show me a bunch of characters who are already sold out and then slap 'collect them all' next to it
EITHER.... Put people on there that I STILL have a shot of getting... OR... Change "collect them all' to 'figures you've missed!!! Stay tuned for Re-release!"
What you are really asking is if NA He-Man is coming later this year due to the parts he shares with Bow. For that, you will need to wait and see! They caught me!!

Regarding the Faceless One answer: People need to stop taking what Mattel says as dogmatic truth. Things change constantly.
Awww, no Dylamug. Well, I had a feeling he wouldn' be a figure very suited to the "buck" system anyway, given that he's basically just a box on legs.
Who is "KarKrash"?![]()
I hated the answer for the NA question. I know I wanted to know if it's a new character and not just an A-list variant. Hopefully with the recent trademarks of Hydron & Darius, one of these guys will be the upcoming Galactic Protector.
Ok thats Funny!
I think hes rumbled our cunning plans boys!
On the upside, he did just confirm that Bow shares parts with NA He-man! Busted back!!
Also I really like the Faceless one answer, its nice and honest! (im not saying TG has ever lied to us, Im just saying its a forthright answer without corporate doubletalk! Thanks TG!)
I wonder whats so difficult about Faceless one, can anyone imagine what re-use there may be (I aint seen those eps of MYP for ages!) and what new components may be needed?

I may just be a Gay Pop fan...but I am also the one who wants ALL of the Figures, who wants this line to continue and who is putting my money where my mouth is....are you doing the same?
THE LINK BELOW IS THE TIME THE NEXT MOTUC FIGURE GO'S ON SALE!

I think the Faceless One depends on if they give him legs. In the cartoon, he seemed to float, but this look could be achieved by hiding feet under a long garment (as I'd assume they'd do with Marlena.
I'd prefer to see him on a stand like Orko, but this would require some new tooling. I guess he could use the standard torso with clothing built around it and of course arms...but the rest would be new tooling I think...
Most-wanted MOTUC: Madame Razz and Broom - Scorpia - Granita - Hunga the Harpy - Spinnerella - Melaktha - Vultak - Dylamug - Crita
I actually wouldn't be that surprised if they used Hordak's cowl and cape, repainted, for the Faceless One. It's fairly similar when you ignore the white ornamental things on the sides. Though I do wonder if they'll make him the Legless One too. Not having any separate parts below the hips might cut costs, maybe even allowing the tooling of more new parts? (I'm just guessing here, I have absolutely no idea of what those things cost in comparison to each other).
Anyone want to guess if they'll use He-Man's, Hordak's or Skeletor's forearms for him?![]()
