MOTUC Horde Invaders: Ferros & Rachney

    The title says it all!

Even with Grizzlor, Hordak's still pretty lonely on my shelf. I took some liberties on the filmation designs and tried to make the Invaders stand out as unique characters with different skin/fur colors and weapons. I'll make a Repta as soon as we get a Rattlor. There's more horde ranks on the workbench too.

    Enjoy!

Those are freakin awesome! Absolutely flawless use of parts. Your work never ceases to amaze me. I especially love your Fuerza-T stuff, but these are great on a whole other level.

Please excuse the nit-picky anal retentive part of me, but, did you mean to put the blue guys biceps on backward? It doesn't look bad or any thing, I'm just wondering if it was a conscious decision.

Looks like I pulled a Matty on those biceps. I didn't realize that at all. I don't recall poping off the biceps from the shoulders, so I think the Stratos I used as fodder was backwards. I suppose this just makes him look more like a factory offical figure

Hey these look great. What kind of paint are you using for the bodies? Do you have problems with paint rub?

Excellent work, especially Rachney and his gun.

I really like that you fill in the peg holes

Did you sculpt fur on the forearms or "chop and stick"?

A lot of times when customizing a figure it's tempting to try and ignore small details like the loin cloth or the the weapon because it's easier to accept or slightly modify what's already on the figure then to go to such great lengths to make a reletively insignificant change. These figures are a great study in why it's so critical to ignore those impulses and give every aspect of the figure through attenton to detail.
"Nothing in this world is the was it should be. It's harsh, and cruel, and that's why there's us. We live as if the world were as it should be, to show it what it could be."
