Is your GODDESS figure broken?

There has been discussion about the QC (or in some cases, lack thereof) of this fan favorite. This is probably the best way to see how people are faring with this action figure. So let's be direct about it.

Is your Goddess action figure now broken, or has it held up just fine?

My Goddess is loose and still one piece.
.... but honestly ... i´m not posing her in marginal positions

Both of mine broke (2)... from trying to move her legs SLIGHTLY. In both cases, the pelvis piece, NOT the legs (ahem, TG), crumbled into several pieces. The pelvis is clear-plastic painted green.

So far both my MOC and loose Goddess have avoided the dreaded transparent plastic crumbling disease ... so far!

I barely dare look at my Goddess figure ... which is a pity cos I love her so much.

Piece of my loose Goddess' neck broke off (but is now glued back on). My MOC one seems to be intact, but who knows, what might happen, if ever removed from the package.

My Goddess was broken, but through some clever parts swapping with an extra Teela (Thank you for the crotch, Warrior Goddess!), she is back in action and better than ever before-fully poseable and awesome!

The pelvis of my Goddess crumbled after standing in a storage box for 6mths untouched. I have since fixed her leg in place with Liquid Nails Epoxy and while it substantially limits her movement/poseability - she is able to stand and be displayed.

There seriously needs to be a release of the green goddess. I never got one & the first release had to many problems.

I left mine MOC as I do with most of my MOTUC stuff. The Goddess is one that I will NEVER open for a fact though. Simply because I'm just not very interested in the character and I don't want to break it.

My Goddess figure stands in the 2nd floor tower of castle Grayskull, and there she will stay. I don't want to have a broken figure on my hands!

Mine broke when I (for some reason) took off her head when I first got her. Actually, she broke when I was trying to put the head back on. It was in the back of the neck, and I glued it, and it doesn't show, so I'm not too irritated by it (any more).

Actually, I'd kind of forgotten she was broken until I saw this thread ...

I couldn't vote, because my option would be;
"My Goddess figure is out of the packaging and just fine for now..."
This may change at any moment seeing how she can just fall apart...

When I first got her, the head was extremely wobbly,
so I ripped off her head and tied a rubber band around her neck and
firmly pressed the head back on.
She was fine and didn't break anything.

She also survived a 11 hour plane flight where she was loose in a ziplock bag pressing tightly
against other loose MOTUC figures in a fully packed backpack as carry-on luggage.

I barely posed her though.
I like her standing up straight with one arm holding her staff.
She stands all the way in the back of my display just in case,
so she can't fall off the shelf.

She's displayed out of package, hasn't fallen down and isn't injured/broken in any way ... so far.

It seems like my mathematics is still holding, to some degree. One third of the Goddesses are faulty, and WILL eventually crumble. But, there is 2/3 that may never crumble, I suppose we shall see in the future.

Mattel... this figure SUCKS!! Your plastic, or your machines, are pieces of crap! Stop cheaping out on quality, because it will only cost you in the long-term!

My first Goddess figure (original release) is still doing fine even after some "abuse" and posing and seems to be as good as any other figure.

I ordered a 2nd Goddess figure (reissue) mostly because of the accessories and she has the hairline/fissure fracture right out of the package and therefore is bound to break at any moment. I'm thinking about using a lot of hot glue (or maybe crazy glue) to fill the entire crotch which will hopefully hold the legs and crotch together.

The crotches seem to be of different color/plastic from the 2 goddess' figures.
When I find the time, I'll take comparison pictures.

Well...it finally happened.

I was cleaning my shelves and fixing my display. I just picked her up and laid her on my bed...then went to put her back. I noticed a "black line" on her crotch. So, I looked closer...and it was a shadow...of her crotch breaking off.

So, after pretty much NEVER touching my Goddess, she is broken. I just put her on the shelf because she should be fine without ANY movement...but yeah...she broke.

That's just awful that she can break that easily. I just...I can't even believe it! I really hope Mattel will fix this issue and release a Green Goddess 2.0 with a two-piece Teela outfit and more, cool, new accessories to thank us for our business and apologize for the breakage problems!

Suggestions: Filmation Teela head, Goddess head like the drawing (it's AWESOME), green Zoar/perch/armour.

She's not broken, but her head is so loose that I get nervous just touching her. She is one figure that hasn't shelf dived. Not sure what that would do to her if she did.

My Goddess figure is loose, and broken.

Her pelvis is gone, but there is enough of it left, that her legs can be put back in to place so that she can atleast stand up.

But I can't pose her, or even touch her without her legs falling off.

Rediculous.

My daughter was playing with her and loves to change the heads, i didnt realise she had the Goddess and snapped her head, will wait for a re-release to get another and glued the other head back on already.

Hmm... maybe it's time that we did a comparison-count of the votes now, so we can get a good percentage of how many Goddesses that seems to be weakened at the molecular level.

I suggest that we only compare the out of package ones, since many figures didn't actually break until after some time out of package.

My Goddess is fine so far, but I don't have out on display. I have her bagged and hidden away in my MOTU storage box. I'm not going to chance it.
