WTFWTK 2.51 - Ask your questions here!

Rules for What The Fans Want To Know:
    • Each user is limited to 1 question per Q&A.
    • Posts that repeat questions from other Q&As or from earlier in this thread, or posts that contain multiple questions, will be deleted and the offending user will no longer be permitted to participate in that particular Q&A. So check to see if your question has been asked and help everyone out!
Be sure to check the posts in this thread before you, as well as previous Q&A sessions!
    • This is for question submission only; not discussion. Please save that for discussion threads, and Q&A answer threads.
    • We will start a new Q&A thread when it is time for more questions, approximately every 2 weeks. So please don't start new Q&A threads.

The figures that can be produced are figures that were in the original MOTU, POP and NA lines, as well as in the mini-comics for these lines.
Characters that appeared in the 2002 MYP cartoon are also fair game.
    Filmation characters are off limits!
Who will be produced will remain to be seen.

We will pick up to 5 questions we feel might get answers at that time. Please do not take offense to your question not being asked.
Also, we also edit questions to make them more concise, to be more specific, etc. Please take no offense to this either, as it's only meant to help.
    It's nothing personal.

***Important note: Mattel has limited the questions to 5 from each site who submits Q&As.
Mattel has also asked not to submit figure inquiries about unannounced figures (eg: When will we see [insert character name])

    --------------

This past round of questions were selected by TheFallen,
and proofed against old Q&As by Uncle Montork.
Thanks to them for their help!!!

The questions that were asked in the previous Q&A & will be answered in a couple weeks as follows (please do not repeat them, or questions from previous Q&As):

    1. TheFallen:
We all know that MOTUC is an avatar of the imagination but what is the story behind the chain connected to Vikor's wrist? Obviously, it is on there because of the original drawing but has a story been developed as to why it is actually there?

    2. Mr. Shokoti:
Has there ever been any disagreements among those responsible for the MOTUC bios in regards to which previous canon should be used or what the "real name" should be? For instance, was everyone on board for using Teela's mini-comic origin rather than her MYP origin or something else entirely? Was everyone in agreement for Mer-Man & Evil-Lyn's "real names" (I love both of them no matter what anyone else says)? Did you ever have to persuade someone to come to your side or vice versa?

    3. oICEMANo:
With the inclusion of Vikor and the mention of Fighting Foe Men, could the "Valley of Gnarl" era create an opportunity for Mattel to produce some never-before-seen / brand new characters? Perhaps new characters could be created by the Four Horsemen. Or maybe Mattel could turn some more early concept art into new figures who belong to the FFM faction or who are allies of Vikor.

    4. kagamigod:
You mentioned on a recent Gooble Dinner chat that we may very well see a Pre-Eternia map. Will we likely see a Primus or Denebria map as well?

    5. RockVivien:
According to an interview of Steven Grant
"The 'Nameless One' had something to do with Keldor becoming Skeletor. I think he was their version of Emperor Palpatine, the great evil behind everything else. As with everyone else, there was no more backstory."
So within a time paradox, Keldor was supposed to have a role in POG.
In addition to Eldor and He-ro, does Mattel have any records saying if a Keldor toy and a Nameless One toy were intended to be released in the POG line?

    --------------

    So ask those questions!

Any chance Mattel will offer beast-sized flight stand clips for Battle Cat, Panthor, Swiftwind, etc.?

In a future weapons pack is it possible for us to get Battle Armor He-man's Armor in Gold? By that I mean the 3 plates, Front, and back pieces in gold were it was silver but keeping the "H" symbol and using the exact same mold to make it. Also probably throw in the He-man ax in gold to go with it if you want as well.

We are getting Bow next February.
Will it be any other Pop monthly figure at all in 2011?
    (not counting Swiftwind, of course)

Are there plans down the road to make variants of secondary characters from 200X (such as "Trap and Smash Orko") in MOTUC?

Evil-Lyn is a great figure but something was definitely missing- an open spellcasting hand. When it comes to future female figures whose powers are magic-based (Castaspella, The Sorceress, Glimmer, 2002 Evil-Lyn, etc), would Mattel consider sculpting a new hand that suits them a little better?

If Sy-Klone were to appear in a TRU MOTU vs DC 2 pack (let's face it, he matches up well against that Red Tornado dude), would that include the 200x inspired ring on his back or is that considered an accessory and would be left out of said, hypothetical 2 pack?

Based on the answer to my question about quarterly figures. Does adding more items to the sub help increase the overall budget you get for tooling new items such as vehicles and diorama pieces?

Recently you answered a question about the "End of the Masters Story" when it came to the bios and how you had something in place/mind.

Out of all those bios "planned", are any of them written/possible for an original character made just for the Classics line?

Since it has been sculpted, can the 200X Grizzlor faceplate/head still be used as a generic furry warrior head for a future accessory pack?

If nine hundred He-Man.Org members get eaten by Thundercats fans, but neither of them has a toyline, does it still count as a fan movement?

When Fisto's time comes for release, and the name "Fisto" itself is still not available, Instead of selling him under the name "Battle Fist" why not sell him under his "real" name, whatever that may be. That being the case, on his bio on the back of the card, could "Fisto" be listed as his codename?

In Pixel Dan's video review of King Grayskull we have seen that the classcized version of 200X He-Man can be done combining King Grayskull figure and He-Man figure. Does this mean that the classcized version of 200X He-Man will not get an extra figure in MOTUC line?

Even characters like Buzz-Off get a surname, so what's man-at-arms surname?

Several subscribers were suddenly charged tax on the December renewal for Buzz-Off. There were no notifications and the answers from customer service have been different. Can you explain why Digital River is charging tax after many of us have not been paying tax all year?

Is it possible that Mattel may one day release the text of the original written script/overview for the unproduced 2nd and 3rd Powers of Grayskull mini-comics? This could be an excellent 'secret' for the back of a subscribers' only map.

Masters of the Universe Classics has been going now since the later stages of 2008 and we still only have 3 (counting Bow) POP figures in the line. The POP ladies seem to not be high on the production agenda will this change with the outcry for more female figures?

When you get to Gwildor how would you consider his size:
    A) like vintage toy almost as big as regular characters or
    B) movie accurate version which means slightly bigger than motuc Orko?

Without giving the who-and-when of it all, can you confirm or deny that the DC/MOTUC two-packs will continue to use Super Powers-era DC characters?

I'm curious if there is a roboto re release date scheduled yet. I'm kind of anxious to get a corrected shoulder version....any chance of getting it done without "the original" burst on it so we can have a corrected version matching the original collection for moc collectors?
