Back to the Future II has became a reality

Since the trilogy is very influential, who thinks 2015 like in the movie has got some things right like these?

    Video conferences.
    Hover Boards but proto types.
Google Glasses like the visor in this movie.
    a few 80s retro restaurants.
Hands free motion video game technology.
    3D movies and sequels.
    Holograms.
Weather reports that are digital and more accurate.
    Flatscreen TVs.
Watching multiple channels on TV at once.
    Social networking.
Biometrics like at work or Iphones.
Self-lacing shoe technology which has been announced.
Water resistant Jackets but not the technological ones in the movie.
    Miami baseball team.
    human operated cameras.
Dehydrator machines but not to make pizza.
Rejuvination clinics with scientists actually trying to do that.
    Drones.
Pepsi Perfect as it has been announced in limited editions.
    Home energy reactors.
    digital binoculars.
    Slamball.
Cholesterol Could Aid in Fight against Cancers
    Brain implants for memory.
    giant animated billboards.
    Dead celebrities as CGI avatars.
Michael J Fox's son will look like him when he was young.
    Voice activated lights.

Not really....they got most of it wrong and a lot of the stuff on there people have been trying to make because of the film or in the case of pepsi perfect were made for promotional celebration. Flying cars, self drying clothes, dehydrated rehydrated food, self tying shoes, holographic movies...all wrong

Go and look up Back to the Future by college humor on Youtube---it's actually kinda sad how they talk about how we have none of the cool stuff from the movie, but stupid stuff like Seg-ways without handles (that go slower than a person walks )

I know none of those things existed but the other things like the hands free Xbox kinetic games, the thumb print machines at work, flatscreen TVs, 3D movies etc. have came true.

We've had 3d movies since the 50's, thumbprint technology is pretty old too. And in the late 80's we had the powerglove.....

    They do control the weather.

Weather is a stock and trade, and it is causing lung cancer dumping particulate metal on us.

(sometimes I have positive things to say)

I have to say all of this phenomenon existed because like He-Dad said things just getting cheaper and much more available to all. Hell, even I didn't expect to have GPS on my phone.

Yeah dude, I totally agree with you. That's why I never leave my place without a tin foil hat, and a tampon taped to my face. Its to to keep the space broadcasts out of my head, and the metal particulates out of my lungs.

Retro is always around. Back to the Future II did not predict this.

While I know the scene you are talking about, ("You mean you have to use your hands?! That's like a baby's toy!"), I interpreted that as the youths were expecting to use their mind control the game movements.

3D and sequels have been around since the 50's. Back to the Future didn't predict this.

Holograms have been around since the 80's and 90's (much to the chagrin of 90's comic book collectors)

Not as accurate as in the movie.

They were using projected screens in the McFly house, not flatscreens.

We can watch one extra channel on TV (Picture in Picture).

Biometrics have been around since the 80's possibly earlier.

That's only for one shoe and that's because it's the shoe from the movie. Not a prediction.

I thought most cameras were human operated already?

Dehydration has been around for a long, long time. You probably mean rehydration machines but we don't have those.

Basically plastic surgery. Plastic surgery and trying to look young has been around for a long time.

Once again, like the self-lacing shoes, not a prediction. Pepsi Perfect was made as a promotion/celebration of the movie.

This has been done for a while beforehand.

Sons tend to look like their fathers because of genetics. Not a prediction.

In the (intended, unless I'm mistaken) spirit of the thread, I think the things that the movie got right are pretty nifty.

Harry, if you'd like to be admitted to the Tar Swamp, PM TheShadow and ask him.

It's a great secret place, HarryCanyon. Wonderful intellectual debates and challenges on all sorts of topics and, best of all, Benny let's his true diabolical self shine.

Not for the faint of heart or thin-skinned, however. See you there.
