200X Variants of Characters Thread

I really believe Mattel must rethink their policy about 200x heads.

Some figures like Grizzlor, Roboto, Buzz-Off and Leech would have greatly benefited from that option.

I can at least look at Grizzlor and Leech without laughing. Roboto, Buzz-Off and Clawful are just plain horrible head sculpts that should have remained in the 80's.

An honorable mention is Sy-Klone, who once again looks like He-Man's long lost Gar half brother. Maybe King Miro wasn't the only one who had a Gar mistress.

the vintage heads are starting to really grow on me & like displaying them that way. but if i had the option i would display them with the 200x head instead.
i still want both if there were different versions of their appearance.
like bow had a head with the mustache & one without, whiplash had a vintage & a 200x. that was awesome. having alternative heads is what makes motuc awesome.

I would like a 2002 harness for He-Man.
I want 2 versions.
1. Brown leather straps.
2. Gray leather straps (like the prototype that was shown on the 4H website.)

I'd like both with interchangeable pieces of armor so we have the choice of displaying He-Man with the cross or 2002 symbol.

Well, at least you have the option of using the King Grayskull harness on your He-Man. I'm fairly certain that they'll never have interchangeable centerpieces for the harness like they did for Bow, but it's still a cool idea.

Well, the budget is pretty low, so the tooling money has to be spent on really neccessary parts. Like a new Hurricane Hordak armor piece with dial sticking out of his back

I for one prefer the lion and reptilian heads for my Eternian Palace Guards over an additional head for Buzz-Off and Clawful.

Just be clear on whether you support 200X headed variants regardless or if you would rather have the variants have more changes than simply heads.

If they should one day release 200x heads on a body, I´d rather see the bodies have some changes to their all-vintage counterparts. I would hate displaying one and the same figure twice, just with the head being the only difference. - Strike that. I´d gladly display dozens of palace guards if they all have different faces

But regardless I'd much rather have just the heads. Having to get the whole figure AGAIN just to get the heads is the kind of tactic that usually ****** me off to the point of quitting collecting lines.

I love this line. I also love the 200X elements put w/ the figures before Mattel put their foot down. Not only do I want 200X heads. But give me the 200X upgrade Classics figure w/ upgraded weapons and accessories. I would even love to see some repaints. Trap Jaw, Sy-Klone.... Even if these came at the end of the line or put in stores I'd buy them. I'm o.k. w/ getting the core vintage stuff first. I'm a vintage fan 1st but I also love....love the 200x line.

I'm with you on this one. After all Mattel should know we're all in a recession. I don't want a 200X refresh for most characters. Some would be great with only an additional head.

Others like the Sorceress, King Hiss, and Evil-Lyn need a little bit more than a second head, but that's for another thread.
