Definitely going to pick up the "complete first season" set to have as a back-up to my BCI DVDs. That cover looks amazing - they definitely knew how to jazz that sucker up! I totally want a poster of that

Just released 10/6/2013: EPISODE 55 of Masters Cast!

Posters out of the any of the art Emiliano did, would be great. No matter how it's arranged. (well okay, I guess you could crowd up a poster too much)

    I am digging the Volume 1 - 20 episodes.

It is actually what I would have liked seeing when ER published their
    first UK-based DVD Volumes.

Classic Filmation-styled art, but great lightning-effects to boot!

I disagree -- the way this is arranged is what makes the art stand out. The BCI cover looks so static now compared to this - much more dynamic!

This is awesome...I sold my BCI discs a few months ago when I needed money and I've been regretting it ever since!

Can I assume that these WON'T match the upcoming She-Ra complete series discs since they're being put out by a different company?

I quite like em! The He-Man set looks cool I think!

I had roughs quite similar to this for the Aussie DVD's so this is much more my sort of thing. Loose them lens flares though! yeuch!

I just wish they hadn't picked that particular Skeletor. Of all the cool Skeletor's Emiliano did, why pic that one?!

Certainly a massive improvement on the Classic Media POP DVD'S I reckon!

To me the BCI covers were for folks who remember it whereas I think these will appeal to folks who ain't too familiar.
I can't imagine these having the same lavish printing though.

I'm sure they'll be the usual plastic cases with discs in paper envelopes.

I'm sure Dan and the other designers at MC would love to do more extravagant printing, but Mill Creek is very successful at what they do for a reason. They minimize manufacturing costs so they can charge the least amount possible and still turn an acceptable profit.

Its why they might be the only remaining budget label that isn't just hanging on, but actually thriving.

I know the owner, he's a very smart dude.

Indeed! Budget labels here took a kicking when Woolworths went belly up! I haven't done any DVD art in about 1.5 years!

Yeah, that Skeletor is bad, especially so big (it wasn't that big the fgirst time we used it), but the filmation frame we used is exactly like that.
Lucky enough, we have some good old friends at Mill Creek so just have faith...

Maybe more, images need licensor approval, but the folks at Mill Creek will surely send us updated covers for our homepage

Doubt it takes too long. Dan said they're super easy to deal with and have loved everything they've sent them.

...and we were stuck with Gillian...

Barrett got the new image, it was a quick fix and also got me chance to draw one the famous Skeletor faces I never got to do!

Never really liked that face, even if I reproduced verbatim the shot from the cartoon.
There are definitely better upshots of Skeletor and I used one of them, I can't wait to see how it looks on the final cover!

    There are couple.

This shot of his face, reminds me of a scene where the animation is possibly supposed to go with Skeletor lifting his Havoc Staff with both hands, but in that current episode, which I forget unfortunately, they changed it so Skeletor holds the Staff with one hand and shoots. But the other hand is left hanging there, looking a bit silly.

Yep, Dan used the head from the shot where he's lifting the Havoc staff (from the Ten Best) on another body.
I only fixed the head though, the body is the same.
