How does MOTUC Battlecat compare to his other versions?

I didn't forget about him. Whether you love the sculpt, articulation, or like having a keychain in your pants, who is your favorite? I definitely pick MOTUC Battlecat. He has the just the right amount of articulation and looks just perfect in my opinion.

As far as sculpt goes, best one yet (certainly smokes the horrible 200x version)

As far as articulation..... Well as mine isn't even capable of standing up, complete fail.

MOTUC is definitely the best version ever. A beautiful piece of work with insane articulation.
I do like the 2002 version though, in the cartoon anyway.

I love the sculpt on the MOTUC version but I like the steady and firm posture of the 200x BC. Nice display joseephus.

    I'll lend an analogy.

Battle Cat MOTUC= getting a real dog for christmas

Battle Cat 200x version= getting a robotic dog for christmas

80' Battle cat= getting a stuffed animal dog for christmas.

    my work here is done.

Nice analogies. But Battle Cat might be offended if he knew you were comparing him to dogs.

I was looking forward to this one, Joseephus! Great display there!

MOTUC is by far the best. He might be my favorite toy...ever!!
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

When I was a kid I loved my Battle Cat (the original one). My father bought it for me one Christmas despite my mother telling him no. When I got it I loved it, but I was disappointed it didn't have any articulation. When 200x Battle-Cat came out I was disappointed that he his armour was so different from the original.

With this 2010 Battle-Cat - everything the original shoulda coulda been. He's great! Any toy animal that you can pose peeing against lamp posts gets my vote.

MOTUC Battle Cat come in first place but the vintage Battle Cat comes a close second. The only detraction for MOTUC BC is my He-Man doesn't fit securely on him. Vintage BC wins hands down in this area plus has the nostalgia factor. However, overall, MOTUC BC wins.

Haven't gotten him yet but I'm sure he's gonna be the best.

I still love the fill Saber teeth on BC but it's hard to hold that against this one.

    Definetly the BEST yet!

I really don't see how they could improve.

there is no comparison between the motuc BC and the previous versions.....

the motuc one is perfect, while the others had flaws, whether it was lack of articulation like the original (a statue, not a toy), or crappy looking armor bits like the 200x versions. a samurai? a 'jaws' version...? huh?? neither one looked good enough to me to warrant purchase. the McDonalds one doesn't even factor into the equation....nor do any stamps or micro-figures.... i don't even count those.

the only thing they could do to add to him would be to make the 200x armor (without the cannons) for it sometime down the road (but i don't want to buy another BC for it though), and maybe some snap-on sabertooth fangs.

other than that, it's by far the definitive version of Battlecat.... and i could easily say I'd never have to buy another Battlecat figure for as long as i live.

Really, really hated the guns on the 200x version. They went in the bin as soon as he was out of the box.

Definitely the MOTUC Battle Cat, although, since I rarely care about articulation, I still love the 1980's version as well.

Since I lost interest in the 2002 line before it ended, I'm not familiar with all of the variants. What version of Battle Cat is in the lower right corner of that picture? He looks like he's wearing a torture device from the Saw movies.

This is how I feel as well. I love the size and articulation of MOTUC BC, but I prefer the armor of the 200X (as it appeared in the toon). I've always felt that the vintange/Classic armor makes BC look more like a rhino.
    200X Power Sword, 200X Toon, 200X Continuity.... Yeah, it's all about 200X!!

motuclassics bc is the greatest, after that i'd go with the vintage and last is that wimpy little mo2k battle cat who had to overcompensate with his big guns and baby booties.
MANGLORD'S most wanted MOTUC, GWILDOR and the rest of the 87ers.
