This is a subtle and awesome reminder of why I loved the show so much as a kid. Not only was there a rich variety of characters, but the world they got to interact in was just unlike anything else I was watching on TV at the time. Great stuff.

Any chance you could make a big rar/zip file with all the high-res images and find a good file hosting site to upload them to?

I'd like to see them in all their glory

This is my favorite thread. I'd also love to see some larger versions, but that website is amazing as is.

    Tired of waiting for Hollywood.

    Wow.
These picture shots, relly put my storyboards to shame, and then some.

I drew only what I thought needed to be drawn, even though I knew Eternia looks like this stuff.

It makes me wonder if a live action movie is even possible.
    ..(how ever you deffine live)

    i would pay for it.
    I always thought that !!!

I've seen the word 'magic' being used a few times already in this thread, and I couldn't agree more.

Filmation MOTU was/is purely magical. There's a certain fantastical element that's retained throughout. It's not easy to describe in words, but is easier to appreciate visually.

Thanks to everyone who has posted these delightful pictures of Eternia and beyond!

    Simpy WOW!!

Wow dude this is one of my favourite posts. I love the richness of Filmation backgrouns and the detail of the drawings.
It is even a good idea for the ones who make custom dioramas for the vintage figures.

    Thanks my friend!!

You read my mind. These come in handy for making my dioramas. I also use the early mini-comics (since I'm a huge fan) as a source of inspiration.

Yep, I do the same. In the future I want to make the machine which creates the Horde troopers of the minicomic.
