I like the idea of the TRU two packs, but I don't like limiting it to the DC Universe. (Not a big DC fan...) What other crossovers would you like to see in two packs? (This is nothing official, so be as creative as you like.)
I'll start with MOTUC vs. Gargoyles. I've always been a big Gargoyles fan, and I think that He-man and Goliath would make a formidable team!

Thundercats is the only one I think would even REMOTELY see holding there own line... and the other two, I REALLY only want the main good guy. 2 packs would be PERFECT for them...

I would love to see Mattel make Thundercats, rather then... that other... company which I do not dare soil my dignity by naming.
Seconding (or thirding?) the crossover of MOTU and GI Joe. Both were and are my fave toylines (however - only the classic ARAH joes, nothing ****** movie-related, btw).
If so then I would insist on packaging based on the Joes due to their great paintings on the card (one thing I always missed when it comes to Motu except the vehicles/playsets which had that).
Apart from that a crossbreed of MOTu and Inhumanoids would be great. The Inhumanoids series is so much fun and it would a great chance to re-new the "then-pretty-******" toys which came out for Inhumanoids.
I can see a direct story in front of me: Skeletor, somehow having come down to earth, and his minions releasing the Inhumanoids from earth's core... MUAHAHAHAHA

I like the match ups but i would never put Carnivus vs Grune as that is a massive mismatch Carnivus is a tribal leader whereas Grune is a immortal giant ghost.
Marzo vs Grune or a masterS villain of a matching power set.

Motu VS. The Tiger Sharks
Vs. Crystar
Vs. Power Lords
Vs. AD&D..... Skeletor v Warduke YES!!!!

MOTU vs Thundercats could work with the right story, but Mumm-ra's involvement would have to be changed... imagine that instead of crashing on "Third Earth", they crash on Eternia. But then Mumm-ra's not there, so maybe he comes through another dimensional portal looking for the Eye of Thundera and the Power Sword.
MOTU vs Silverhawks could work because, as an intergalactic police force, the SH could end up investigating crime near and on Eternia.
MOTU vs Transformers could work similar to the Tcats story, where the Ark crashes on Eternia, followed by the Nemesis. Just imagine Orko & Bumblebee together causing trouble. And the Cosmic Key could resonate with the Matrix.
MOTU vs Crystar could work because there were several times in the Crystar series where they traveled through dimensions... and Zodac/Zodak kind of represent balancing chaos & order, like Lord Feldspar.
There's probably others that work from a story standpoint, but to me that is the most important aspect of it. I want to see a crossover that can make sense. And yes, I know a dimensional portal could be opened to any of these other universes, but some make more sense than others...
sorry to be a kill-joy, i'm not a fan of cross-overs ... not really digging the dc/motuc stuff - although i understand the reasons behind it ...

Still, having someone other than Mattel/4HM do them will help prevent this "casual-at-best-TC-fan" from wasting money on that company's crappola.
Crossover I would LOVE to see (other than the DC sets, which, as a die-hard DCU fan, I am loving!):

Those two mythos' could exist together in the same universe. Always has, in my mind.
Never gonna happen, though, since another company got the toy rights for Thundercats. Mattel dropped the ball on that one. Which is a shame, because I would have seriously LOVED to have had Panthro, Tygra, Cheetara, etc, to add to the MOTUC stuff.
I would have bought two of every single one of those...
