Custom Clamshell Case Art!

Not long ago someone began selling these custom plastic clamshell cases for us to display our figures in. I wasn't thrilled about the printable background art they came with, so I started designing my own. By overwhelming demand from private messages, thread posts and E-mails from members of He-Man.org and other popular fan sites, I have compiled the art in a downloadable, printable, and editable format for everyone to enjoy. I am continuing to add on to this list.

Disclaimer: I do not make a profit from the artwork or the plastic cases. I am not the creator of the cases. Discussion of sales information regarding the cases in this thread, including information about where you can find the cases, is strictly prohibited by the forum rules.

Clamshell dimensions in inches are as follows:
> Outside Dimensions: 10.7 (length) x 5.1 (width)
> Cavity Area: 8.5 (length) x 3.84 (width) x 1.4 (depth)
> Card Area: 9.6 (length) x 4.6 (width)
> Plastic Clamshell Thickness: 0.020 Inches

Updates
(April 25, 2012): I've removed all read me files from my downloads to eliminate any retail sale information from this thread. I still ask that these downloaded files are used only for personal enjoyment, and not to make money.
(April 28, 2011): Just uploaded an entire new set of card art. Reduced PDF file sizes from ~50MB each to ~4MB each! A ton of new figures added. It's easier now to post which figures are not included in the list than to mention which ones are new to it.
(Feb. 7, 2012): Getting back into this project! Reloaded all of the PDF's. Will be rebuilding a few of them. Also working on more designs (classics, 200x ,Snakemen), as well as some potential faction logo work. Stay tuned!

That's pretty awesome dude. I was going to do the same with my vintage collection, but I never got to it. Again, this looks awesome.

I have one suggestion though. How about a name insert in front of the feet, like the classics have but in the vintage style. That way you can also add the names to the NA and Horde cards without the figure obstructing the view.

I love the way these look, but I do have a few questions:

How well does a figure with a back pack fit into them? Example: Stratos, Grizzlor, etc.
Same question about Capes. Grayskull, Marzo...

If the case was made a little deeper (1/4" - 1/2") to acomodate this, how would the regular fig's fit? Too loose?

Or, he could just make the existing cases for regular fig's, and maybe a deeper one for the others...

BTW, I did a quick test, and the file sizes here can be greatly reduced with no discernible loss of quality. These can easily go to 20mb each even with high quality art.

If you'd like any pointers in that regard, just let me know.

I would also suggest that the cases be made deeper to allow for people to house their customs of characters like Octavia or Scorpia, who have attachments on their backs.

I agree, I think the package could be a bit deeper to allow for customs with larger attachments like Shadow Weaver's skirt or assessories.

Are these clamshells also available for smaller figures as well? I'd love some of my vintage customs to be stored in smaller versions of these. And yeah, I know about the Zolo cases, but I believe (not sure though) those don't have room for cool artwork the way this one does...

BTW, the PDFs... are basically Photoshop files. No WONDER they're so huge. They contain (in some cases) unseen high-res photos of figures or logos for reference. You could easily put all of the content for every figure that's currently in one PSD file that's probably 40mb or less if you used layers and common elements for the background, or faction badges (like Horde or POG)

But anyway, I made an alternate version of the file that works for ZoloWorld cases. The ZoloWorld cases don't have as much room to do cool stuff... but the ZW cases are easier to find / buy.

I made 2 versions for the ZoloWorld cases: 1 that has bigger type, where the character's name sits behind their head. This works fine for figures without mini-comics. The text is a bit obscured, but it's not really the main draw anyway. The second version leaves room for the mini-comics and isn't obscured at all. Pictures below.

Yeah I've been thinking about that. I'll probably figure something out.
