After the success covering the ankle peg-hole

Why not cover both elbow and knee peg-holes?? That would make the figures look much more cleaner and more secure. What do you think?

I just want them to make it so the females can turn at the waist... after that, then they can work on the other articulation improvements! But so far 2011 has started off awesome with the ankle improvement... may they never slide back to what they were giving us before.

Bingo! That's one of the biggest flaws with the MOTUC figures.

I think that's understandably lower on the priorities list.

I to say one thng is the website first. The figures will be great if you own them. I feel for the people that cannot afford the after market prices. We should be able to get these figures with no problem. Then fix the ladies.

^ Couldn't agree more! But hoping that they started tackling all of these issues begining with the peg holes

The only thing that worries me about "fixing" the holes on the other areas is that it would make the pieces Hollow and could cause issues with them. (Assuming the figures with hidden pin/peg works just like The Toybiz spider-Man Classics figures worked... The Pre-Marvel Legends Spider-Man Classics...)

I think for me, the issue isn't that the ankles needed the peghole concealed, the issue was that the tooling on the ankles was degrading with each successive production run, and thus getting looser. That's cause for a mold refresh, and after seeing the ankles on my King Grayskull, this came in the nick of time.

So it isn't really an aesthetic concern in my mind, and since the other joints are still holding up well, I don't think they need revamped.

My Evil-Lyn figure turns at the waist quite well, and it doesn't make the outfit look weird. Teela, The Goddess and She-Ra, on the other hand, are not able to twist at the waist.

    Silliness.

I can understand why Teela and Goddess do not, but not She-Ra. She-Ra should have been fixed--along with the neck peg. If Catra's waist and neck peg do not meet rightful expectations, it is not only ridiculous, but I expect someone's head to blow into like Thunder of the Three Storms from Big Trouble in Little China.

I feel the same way. I could care less whether or not the peg hole is concealed. I'm just glad to have ankles that are tighter. I'm also glad to see this ankle system on Bow. looks like all newly tooled boots going forward will have this system.

They better not cover any of the elbow or knee holes, that'll make customizing impossible.

Totally agree here...a consistent look across the entire line is more important to me.

I guess I don't see what the big deal about the aesthetics of the ankle fix is... unless you're looking VERY closely, you can't even really tell there's different articulation. Some people (Pixel Dan included) didn't even realize it was "fixed" right away.

    I completely agree with this.

Except for the ladies. I would sell my kidney for a new female buck that has a waist twist and new hip design like Bow and King Hsss.

New Unexposed Ankle Joints... What about Elbows and Knees?

I think the new ankle joints that don't show the pins are great and I was thinking it was probably quite possible to do the same with the knees and elbows. Would anybody else like to see them do the same sort of thing with these joints, so that exposed pins are a thing of the past?

I could see it being done with the elbows, but the knees would be more difficult and not as simple. Not something I'm on pins and needles for regardless. The hidden ankle peg served to make the joint more durable more than anything else.

I thought Mattel discussed this a while back after they did the ankles the first time on Vikor. I think they said from an engineering and durability standpoint it wasn't possible to construct the knee and elbow joints in the same way.

Never saw that, and it doesn't make much sense as an explanation to me. I don't know what the difference would be.

Nah, waste of effort. They don't need to bother trying to cover these up.

Meh, I'm not too worried. So long at the joints are tight and my figure can be posed without falling over/arms drooping etc., I don't care if the pegs are visible or now. I don't even notice them anymore.

I'd rather the money went to fixing other issues to be honest.

They did say that and just to point out Both Scott & Terry have stated the Vikor No pin boots are very expensive which is why not all new figures get them. Executioner also wasn't thinking that to do what he suggests if it were possible ( It's NOT ) it would drive the cost of the figure up a lot and none of us want to pay $30.00 a figure before shipping cost.

COST $$$$$ thats what the difference would be, but I guess you didn't facter that in to your Idea
