Official Palace Guards Arrival and Talkback Thread

They arrived at 10 am, and oddly enough, this is how the box was taped...

But they look so cool!

Taking them out, the shin guards like to slide up a lot. Other than that, they're sooooooo cool.

I'm jealous. Mine still says Order in process.. its said that once before and the parcel arrived before the shipping confirmation. so I dunno if I should be expecting anything soon or not.

Have you tried checking your order number as a reference to track on UPS? Might have some more info.

They really are awesome. The joints are pretty tight. The only real issue and it's not all that much, is that the pads over the forearms and shins do like to move around. Other than that, eh... no big.

My batteries died mid shoot, so here're the guards getting ready to meet with their leaders, and some shots of Duncan & Teela with his nephew Major Hines, as well as Randor with bodyguard Clamp Champ. Adam has no idea it's really his half brother.

Awesome pics, mine are scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Love the idea of the black guard being Clamp Champ. So now I will have Lt. Spector and Clamp Champ (pre-clamps), but what would be good names for the Qadian and Snake Man (reptile man)?

I'm calling mine Lt. Lion-Or and Lt. Thulsa, as tributes to Lion-O and Thulsa Doom.

And thanks on the pix. I've been waiting for these things for ages, and when I saw them at Comic Con, I knew it was well worth the wait. The whole alternating parts thing makes them really unique and they kinda do sit there with their own little personas, rather than being a bunch of automatons (like the Horde ones will... when and if they make them.)

yeah, order number doesn't work. it needs a shipping reference number.

Those pics are great. I'm planning on using the young Duncan head on the guards too. I might even customise a couple different ones with some other heads.

Thank you! There is a slight difference in the colours. Grizzlor's are a warmer gray, and the guards' are a cooler gray. On the blade, there's even a faint shiny blue wash to them.

I really wnat to see a picture of Man-at-arms wearing the extra armor parts with his regular chest armor. Wonder how it would look, since the guards armor seems to be more yellow than orange.

Hopefully a future weapons pack will come with the extra Guard armor in orange.

I feel the same way Kevenn!! I have no...attachment to Vikor. I really don't to the Guards either but they fit in with the King and everything.
