So has Bandai officially announced that they are ending the line or are we just waiting for the inevitable announcement?

Does anyone know if Entertainment Earth will restock Tygra 6 inch, or if there are any other online stores that sell him at a reasonable price??
Some toys r us still have stock
I still see some here in Los angelese
They also have the sdcc lion o And there still $40
I do hope not. It is becoming one of my favourite story-wise shows in the same way as "Avatar - The Last Airbender", and I the more I see new characters, the more I want them.
I was looking for to get the new 6' wave and I'm seeing Tygra above $100 in Ebay!Man, that is outrageous for a collection that we even don't know if it shall continue!!
Great trade orgers: Son of Keldor - sdilks -JeMaBo2 x3 - Kowl - Bigassbuzz (Hyveofvillany) - Queen Marlena - mikescab
My feedback thread
BigBadToyStore I think still has a case of the Tygra 6" for preorder but you would need to eat the cost of the other 2 figures for $15-17 since you could probably resell one Tygra to cover the one you keep
Yeah the case he comes in only cost $65-72 (4 6" figures for $15 ea) so its definitely people taking advantage of the fact only online retailers seem to have gotten his wave in stock
Which to be honest I am pretty sure the cases are out in the wild, they are just in backrooms of warehouse distribution because the current wave is not moving. We will either see it just randomly show up or it will be sold off to Big Lots, Dollar General, TJ Maxx, Tuesday Morning and other discount retailers that Walmart and Target use for old stock.

I doubt that they are clearancing just to bring in new stock. I have been in retail for over a decade and when things go clearance it usually means that the line is dead (unfortunately). The only way it could come back is if they renamed it under a new slogan/theme, and I don't see that happening. It is such a shame, this will be the biggest let down if it ends. I hope Bandai can give us some type of exclusive if/before it ends at SDCC.
Well it's official, looks like these figures are starting to hit some of the discount department stores. While shopping at Ross today I picked up 6" Mummra (modern) and the 3" Lizard deluxe. Mummra was 5.99 and the Lizard 7.99. Suprisingly these were the only 2 figures I could find. So guys be on the lookout to get some deals.

Yeah it depends if Bandai is going to reboot the toy line, basically ship it out with new waves and new packaging as if the originals never happened. Mattel did this with Justice League as far as skus go, and some other lines have done similar to "refresh"
I picked up 3 Storm Chargers today (2 for orgers here and 1 for me) at a random out of the way Walmart. Of course they were not on clearance but I was not about to put them back.
So keep an eye out, they ship 1:1 with the Thundertank so if your store is able to move Thundertanks on clearance the chance is good you might see the Storm Charger after

Thanks! Mezco is indeed the BEST! I only wished Mumm-ra came with the Sword Of Plun-Darr! That would have really added some badness to him!
I really hope Mezco makes all the original ThunderCats! Bengali,Pumyra, and Lynx-O would be nice too!
I can't wait for Panthro!!!
Man! I really dig those 14" Mezco figures!
I just simply don't have the room for them.![]()
I don't have room for them either! Since they are so AWESOME I make room!!! If Mezco does bring out all of the characters,I'm in BIG trouble!!![]()
Very glad Mezco ThunderCats and MOTUC are the only figures I collect!

I spoke with both wholesale departments at Entertainment Earth and BigBadToyStore and Bandai is still soliciting to them the Tygra 6" Wave and Slithe Deluxe 4"
Not sure if that implies anything or not but if the toyline was completely dead they would at least be pushing the line with a discount, which while I am legally bound not to reveal wholesale pricing its not any different then it was when the line was hot
Take that for what it's worth I guess. Much like the cartoon I think its just in a wait and see pattern

There are three factors I would say.
1) many (specifically) adults didn't like the new designs or the way the toys were made. This group tends to think everyone feels the same as they do
2) they made too much for those who were going to purchase. This is something always difficult, it's impossible to tell how well a line is going to liked. This was made worse by certain figures getting over packed clogging store shelves not allowing for fresh product to come in.
3)(again I say) kids, who are supposed to be the primary target for the main line, stop buying toys around 6-9 years of age and start buying video games. Now while something should be said for trying to get your product liked by those who don't want you product you have to be careful with then driving away those who currently are buying your product. - Hey we made vanilla ice cream that tastes just like chocolate, so people who like chocolate will eat it.- But you do need to see what can be done to try to get those more on the fringe, the problem is they are fighting an uphill battle. All it takes is Johnny Toocoolforhisskinnyjeans to say something is stupid, silly, for girls, (insert all those other things we know they say) and they don't want any part of it anymore. At the turn of the century it was card games now it's video games, which is odd both were considered geeky hobbies at one point.

I have to agree with Iceman on this one. I think toys are rather crap. But I love the show.

I love the toys.Well...some of them. I don't like the new costume 6 inch ones or the gimmicky ones with action features. Just the basic, 4 inch line and the two 6 inch classics ones.

Fear is faith in failure
That's what I am doing. In fact the case is in my Pile of Loot right now. I am keeping the one Tygra and going to sell the others together in a lot to cover the cost of the case and even make a few bucks if possible.
Ugh...I was at Walmart today and they had a bunch of Thundertanks but I never looked through them for the Storm Chargers.
I did though find a Tygrus today for an Orger so it wasn't a complete loss.
Mars needs women...angry red women.
So has anyone seen 6" Tygra out in the wild? Are the remaining stores carrying Thundercats even restocking??
