Oh wow, nice trailer. I can see a lot of Vision of Escaflowne in there. Eric Matthews does a good Lion-O and I'm glad it looks like they did not keep the boy in the body of a man angle and just made him a teenager (that never sat well with me in the original cartoon). Mumm-Ra's face looks dead on! But Slythe...oh how I don't like his voice! Interesting that the Mutants appear very primitive at first, then being in some lumbering mechas. Does Mumm-Ra give them weapons I wonder? I hope Vultureman and Rataro are in this somewhere.

BECAUSE CARTOON NETWORK EXECS ARE IDIOTS THE YOUTUBE CLIP I POSTED HAS BEEN BLOCKED. APPARENTLY PROMOTING YOUR PRODUCT IS A BAD THING.

you know it really burns me an makes no sense. lets say your local tv station had the rights to the show to air in your neck of the woods, doesn't getting as much buzz going asap only HELP the product? copyright claims on trailers are ne of the STUPIDEST moves I've ever seen happen. it's anti-marketing. The saying used to be any publicity is good publicity, now it's let's keep this as quiet as we can, that'll make it succeed.

Liking it! Although I have to say, if this really takes off with kids I'll be a LITTLE sad for MOTU.

Yeah. It might light a fire under Mattel if Bandai was able to take their own idea and make it work even better!

I am really excited for this show. I'm happy that Will Friedle is involved and that it looks so epic. My only concern is that Lion-O isn't an adult, or at least not in anything we've seen. If the writing is done well than I do not see a problem. I think we're all in for a treat, plus I love the look of the Bandai classic figures. Can't wait to see Mumm-Ra.

Just that MOTU tried a very similar revival and failed with the kids. I love MOTUC, but there's that. And I don't know that it would mean good things for MOTU necessarily. Kids might end up thinking MOTU (if it's ever a kid's animated show again) was a Tcats clone.

So are you afraid that Thundercats may be so well done that it over shadows MOTU to the point that people call MOTU the clone? Very interesting. I'm one of those people who thought once 200x was so good that a Thundercats show has to be next in the works.

Well, I didn't say it was going to keep me up at night or anything. Just that it would be slightly sad or a odd twist. I'm totally psyched for the show itself and hope it does well. It's not like I wish it ill will.

Try not to make too much of my comment.

    Love that trailer!

I got a 200x vibe from it too. It'll make the demise of that cartoon all the more sad if ThunderCats is a big success with kids.

    Loving that Thundercats trailer.
It's totally MOTU but hey, it's a new sword & sorcery toon we can get behind.

My guess is that this could do better than MOTU as they can learn from the previous mistakes. But the figures are the concern.

Either way I am gonna be dead curious to see how TC fairs this time around.

Fantasy is bigger than it's ever been I think.

Anyone else notice that the remix of the theme at the end of the new trailer, sounded an AWFUL lot like the one that dude did online? He Remixed everything from Knight Rider to He-Man to sound a bit more grandish.

    Color me unimpressed.
I HATE whenever something's trying to present itself as THE MOST EPIC THING EWAAAHH.

And how come Lion-O's dad is trying to hurt the mutants with the sword of omens? As if he's trying to cut their heads off... shouldn't the sword prevent such action?

"Thunder... thunder..." animation looks like it'll be as impressive as 200x MOTU transformation.
Not that hard to trace the old stock footage...

Slithe looks poor and sounds poor.

Oh, yay, the theme at the end and it sounds sooo... crappy. Get some electronic guitars, people!

Meh, I'll still watch it. Though the epic tone of the trailer leaves a very bad taste for me.

    BWAH!

Thank you. That worked and I finally got to see it.

I am impressed. The show certainly has an epic feel about it.

All the designs look good but even though I like the main TCats designs, they almost look out of place with the rest of the characters. I will be tuning in to watch it and I actually look forward to seeing how well this is received here in Australia

I was thinking that without Free-to-Air exposure this won't reach as many as it should although i hope that's not the case. They still show animations in the morning don't they?

Whilst the figures don't really appeal to me, I think they will go down well with kids. They look reasonably similar to Ben 10 so as long as the cartoon airs in a sensible slot, I think the merchandise will sell very well.
