There has been a bit of discussion on how to pronounce certain charaters and real names in MOTUC. There was also an official RGD poll on how to pronounce Gygor so I thought I would take it one step further and start this official "how to pronounce ....." thread.

How do you pronounce the names in the MOTU mythos? It can include all characters from all franchises. I will start with some from MOTUC. I will only include ones that are not easy to pronounce, not simple ones like Adam or Adora

I only say it in my head, but I pronounce it "Maw-touque" (Maw as in Brawl, and touque like the hat). It just sounds weird out loud though

Uki is the only one who has offered a suggestion as to different pronounciation so I have listed the differences and I ask which ones do you prefer?

To be complete, I think you should pronounce K'reanot N'horosh with a Scottish 'RRR', with the tip of your tongue, not with an English in the back of your mouth.

Way to rub it in, I was just complaining on Facebook about how I can make any other noise imaginable except for the fact that I can't roll my R's. And it ****** ME OFF.

One of the big ones for me is Quadian. I pronounce it like Caddy-N as it seemed to me that it's a play on "cat". But then I saw Pixel Dan's review of the palace guards and he pronounced it "kay-dee-n". What do you guys think?

I thought Kronis was pronounced Cron-is..like the movie tron but with a K... to me Crow-nis is like saying it with an accent ..

Well, remember, MOTU is an avatar for our imaginations, so go ahead and pronounce "Squiddish Rex" as Mr. Fishsticks if you want!

I don't think everyone is going to agree on most of these, really. I think it's fun to see how everyone tackles some of these, though. No one's take is definitive, really.

This is one name I am stubborn with. I don't like the oo-la-la comparison so that is why I chose the other way. Plus, it should rhyme with Mo-Larr because if it wasn't for the typo then there would be no Oo-Larr
