1. robaczek:
With the Vikor figure we see a new take on ankle joints - the pin is no longer visible and the middle part (the loop) is visibly thicker. What can we expect in terms of improved joint tightness or is this purely an aesthetic change? Fans are tired of loose ankles especially in the right ankle.
Honestly, the answer is that we are constantly working on improving quality control and you will constantly see updates and improvements as we move along. Catra, for example, is getting a lot of new parts and a more flexible skirt.
2: oICEMANo:
You said before that “We have thought about adding in some all new characters, but if we did so it would take a special event or release.”
What kind of "very special event" would it take to go ahead with a few completely new characters? The Masters of the Universe 30th anniversary perhaps?
We do indeed have huge plans for the 30th Anniversary but we can’t comment on anything related to this until closer to SDCC 2011.
3. grenadaspice:
With the 200+ bios that have already been written up for MOTUC figures, do any of these bios include Filmation characters that you presently have no access to but were included "just in case" the characters become available in the future?
We have notes on the Filmation character but have not written any bios as we do not currently have rights to the Filmation library.
4. Zodak74:
It looks like the DCUC Wave 17 Wonder Woman variant has some new torso tooling, helping to make her look less "insectoid" and giving the female action figure an overall better appearance. Will this type of torso articulation be considered for future female MOTUC figures, which would also give them more movement? Teela, Adora, Evil-Lyn and She-Ra's plastic dresses have hindered that area of movement.
We are indeed slowly over the next few female figures introducing an all-new female buck with more articulation. It won’t be all incorporated into a single figure, but by the end of 2011 there will be quite a few new female parts tool’d that when put together will create a new female buck.
5. Power Sword:
Is the 2002 Battle Sound He-Man figure an option for a MOTUC He-Man variant? I want to make it clear that I'm not asking for any anime styling or the sound feature. I like the armor over the fur loincloth, the chest plate armor with chain mail underneath & the cool fur sword sheath. If the "H" symbol is a separate piece that's glued on, the armor could also be used for a 2002-inspired King Randor MOTUC variant.
It is possible but this design is pretty close to the Battle Armor He-Man making it a character variant that is not on the top of our “to–do” list anytime soon. But maybe down the road.

And, have fun discussing Mattel's answers to your Round 52 questions!![]()
New parts which are interchangable with the old, but which together amount to an all new buck. Think Whiplash vs the He-Man buck rather than Ram-Man vs the HM buck I suspect. Arms, legs and head are a matter of course, the new neck peg that was meant for She-Ra and maybe a sculpted lower torso w/ ab crunch & upper torso to match.
[So, yes, your chances of getting Bikini Teela just shot up]

Great news on the new parts for the female figures!!
I'm liking Toy Guru's answers lately. Instead of saying "no comment" or "we cannot comment at this time," he's at least telling us when he'll be able to comment. This is better than the kinds of answers we used to get.
The news about the female buck is great. It seemed that when fans were speculating on there being a new buck, Toyguru dismissed it altogether as being untrue. I'm glad they have really been listening.
Now I wonder what parts (besides the obvious: head/dress) are new on Catra? Upper legs maybe? She doesn't seem to have that knock-kneed appearance.
I said it in the other thread, but I'm completely STOKED over the new female buck. It might take the rest of the year, but we will have a completely new one at the end. EEEEE!
Yeah, I've been wondering this too. Besides the obvious dress, head and accessories, I'm not sure.
She definitely has a new left hand and maybe a new neck peg. The rest looks the same as Teela to me (with She-Ra arms, legs and boots). Maybe they just meant "parts" as in 2 masks, head, cape, dress, sword, whip, shield?![]()

When is Mattel going to get the packaging right because im sick of getting first release figures as a subscription holder with the re-released original bursts like its a reissue. whats going on with that?

So psyched about the new female buck and can't wait to find out what Matty's plans are for the line for the 30th anniversary. Great news this time!
Craig
My MOTUC most wanted: Glimmer, Two-Bad, Castaspella, Mantenna, Scorpia, Sea Hawk, Tung Lashor, Angella, Snake Face, Madame Razz, Kowl, Shokoti, Octavia, Horde Troopers, and Sssqueeze
These “huge” plans for the 30th anniversary better be huge, and not just some lame special edition He-Man and Skeletor two-pack rubbish. In fact, I hope their plans have nothing to do with MOTUC, because that’s doing fine as is. Rather, I hope their plans have everything to do with the brand as a whole.
"We have notes on THE FILMation character"
Do they have someone specific in mind to kick off FILMation characters if/when they get the rights?
I'm optimistic about what they may have planned for the 30th anniversary. They have a lot to make up for the past few milestone years when they've dropped the ball.
200X fan? Classic fan? What does that mean? I'm a MotU fan!!!
A Want List of Sorts:
Rokkon, Stonedar, Nepthu, Plundor, Sea Hawk, Strong-Arm, Dactys, Horde Troopers, Storm, Geldor, Modulok, Battle Ram, Kowl, Loo-Kee, Hydron, Glimmer, Eldor, Two Bad, Ninjor, Rio Blast, Mermista, Entrapta, Sweet Bee, Peekablue, Flutterina, Gorpo, Flogg, Crimson Fury, Songster, Lodar, Kex Queen, Goat Man, Darius, Uncle Montork, Dree-Elle
A new female buck. Hopefully a new, more feminine female buck.
Randor: He-Man! You can FLY!
He-Man: ... No...
I too like the mention of the new female buck. Maybe that's why we haven't seen Teela re-released yet because they're gonna release her with the new articulation? I hope so.
I like the "maybe down the road" answer to my question as opposed to, "no." I know that IF we see that He-Man variant I was talking about, it'll be a long time from now but, now I wonder when they get around to making a 2002 style King Randor, if they'll use the MOTUC Battle Armor He-Man armor.
If they do make 2002 Randor & give him his own armor, it can be used for that He-Man, hint hint...
I can't wait for the 2011 SDCC reveals.
30th anniversary... wow... both me and Masters of the Universe made it that long & I'm older than 30!
I want my other half.
