Still amazes me that fans and others can find things that Mattel themselves can't. This is why it is stupid that Scott forbids the 4H from talking to people like Emiliano. Emiliano has made finds like this as well. Guess it's all part of Scott's "master plan".

JI guess the excitement all depends on how you view the figure. Was he the most dynamic figure ever in the MOTU line? Probably not. But as a historical figure, it is very interesting. It's a treasure on itself because we finally see first hand the prototype to a potential figure that never saw the light of day.

Gives me hope that somebody out there has the He-ro prototype or that there's even more undiscovered MOTU figures that we have never seen or heard.

Eddy Mosqueda worked as a sculptor at Mattel. He sculpted figures for both the vintage Masters of the Universe line and the New Adventures of He-Man. You will recognize his work on such classics as Grizzlor, King Hiss, Rokkon, Quakke, and Lizzor to name a few. You may also know his work from the man you see in this announcement, then known as “Mentor”.

WOW! Amazing! I would really like a vintage release of this figure, the face sculp its superb!

awesome, i just hope they get there hands on the he-ro card back too and at least show it, i'm DYING to see that.. its been too long

the hands on the eldor figure from the power con post look off. according to the card back his hands pivot to hold the book of living spells, but arms seem wide apart from each other.. hmm, maybe it would have been a HUGE WIDE book?

either way. its great to see this sculpt that almost made it to store shelves. now i know he-ro MUST exist too with some prototype samples.

if anyone is reading this.. POST THOSE PICS.. watermark them, water ever, just post and share the excitement with us.. this is torture, for me it is

if i get my hands on any other prototype.. i would so post them here.. people need to see history.

This is really really cool. Could they possibly give the parts to a talented and trusted caster and get some of these pieces out as a 30th Anniversary Limited Edition? (Not too limited of course) Maybe set a certain $ amount they would need to take on the project, then accept donations until that quota is filled. Nearly EVERY vintage fan would love to own one of these I'm sure.

(joke about the other Eldor proto pics). He's like a cloaked Moss-Man there.

I would LOVE it if we could get a figure based on that sculpt. That would be beyond awesome!

Very cool pic, Tallstar. I'm always amazed that after all these years we still find never-before-seen stuff like this. Now if only someone could find He-Ro stashed away in their attic or something...
