I have posted the next scene.

BTW: In the German audioplays He-Man calls Battle Cat the German term for a male cat - a lot! Do you think tomcat is the best translation in English? Or would "He-Cat" be better?

Edit: Complete. The translation is finally complete! I hope you like it.

A big "Thank you" to Eterniandreams, who has translated most of the scenes.

So if anyone is interested in providing some illustrations...

But what do the He-Fans think about the story?

My personal opinion is that it's a great episode with some major flaws.

I think Orko exaggerating his contributions is just over the top and the reaction of He-Man and the other heroes may be too mean as well (and guards arguing which weapon was responsible for the victory over the black fog - really?!). It's also a relatively weak set-up for the doppelganger scene with Anti-Orko, which I don't believe is working very well to begin with.

Which brings me to the next point: Too much Anti-Orko. In the grand finale I would have preferred to have Orko narrate the epic fight between He-Man and Anti-He-Man. The duel with Anti-Orko was just not what I wanted to experience at that moment.

But I love the Anti-Eternia concept and how it is introduced, the first scene with Adam and Teela (and Adam wishing he could tell Teela his secret), the fight with the bull and how He-Man needs Ram Man's help, the actual fight against the fog with the different contributions of the heroes, the Anti-Wind-Raider attack (although too short) and He-Man and Skeletor having to work together to defeat Anti-He-Man.

All in all I think I'd give Anti-Eternia 4 out of 5 stars.

tomcat sounds best, when He-Man is referring to his steed with a caring name. I don't remember if there were much used, like in Filmation cartoon. (Big Cat, Old Chum...)

Oh and I think when talking about people at the Palace, it should be Citizen of Eternos

You are probably right: If I translate the German "Wind Rider" to "Wind Raider" and the German "Castle Dragonstone" to "Snake Mountain" I should also translate "Eternis" to the more well-known "Eternos"

Hellskull is such a fantastic translation. Love it.
Maybe Marzo as an archenemy was the biggest thing to happen to Mekaneck, but as far as Marzo was concerned...it was Tuesday.

Thanks! I thought Hell-Grayskull sounded a bit clunky.

This is such a funny coincidence, I just listened to this for the first time ever in my car. I have a bunch of the German He-Man audio put to CD, and I listen to it in order to try to improve my German (and because I enjoy it, of course). On top of that, I am usually never in this forum, but just decided to peruse it today, and then this thread pops out at me.

This is a really good translation. What I found really peculiar about this episode is how short it was, and how abruptly it ended, right at the climax where He-Man and Ant-He-Man are battling; it almost seemed as if they were going to do more, but ran out of time and just decided to finish it. I would have liked them to have gone into more detail of Man-at-Arms working with Skeletor, and then Skeletor escaping at the end through some nefarious means. I also really like the voice of Skeletor in the German audio, which differs vastly from the voice in the English cartoons; the German voice is far spookier and ghastly sounding.

Great stuff! Thanks for the translation! There's a couple spots that might need a little tweaking, but it's awesome.

Thanks again to everyone that worked on this!

    Who owns this script?
I run a not-for-profit community radio station in Canada, and we do a lot of radio drama. I would love to be able to produce this with all the bells and whistles, then re-post it back on the forum.
Can whoever has the rights to this - if there are any - let me know?

H.G. Francis has written the episode, Europa has produced the audio plays and Mattel owns the trademarks/characters. I fear nobody really knows who has which rights.

For anyone interested: Sadly the original author of Anti-Eternia H.G. Francis has recently passed away. His audioplays were such a great influence during my childhood. RIP.

I am sad to hear this. We need more people writing radio drama, not fewer.

I am currently transcribing the audioplay "Doppelgänger" (in German, not in English though).

Is there any interest in getting a translation of the German story of "Faker"? If so, I would start another fan translation in the near future...
