They've said they're not doing something that trivial for the difference again. Whatever the SDCC exclusive is, the at-con version will either (a) have additional accessories like the DC SDCC exclusives or (b) have a deco difference that's clear from across the room, be it a major paint change or something like see-through Orko.

More NA needs to happen!!! I can't wait for Classics versions of thsoe toys!
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

I am officially changing my stance on NA in MOTUC.

Not my stance on NA, mind you. I still DETEST New Adventures. I think the designs are atrocious, the cartoon was worse than Filmation (hard to do,but they managed it!) and it strays SO far from what He-Man is that it makes me ill.

    BUT...

I also realize that the more that we, as fans (regardless how biased we may be against a particular iteration of MOTU), have to support ALL of the releases in order for the line to continue.

If I ever hope to see a Castle Grayskull, I'm going to have to suck it up and accept POP and NA whenever we get it.

Further, I want all of the MOTUC fans to be as giddy as I am at new releases. I realize that many people don't care for Preternia or the mini-comic continuity as much as I do, so they're not as geeked at DC Comics Teela and the like as I am, so I want them to have something to which they can look forward as well.

So, as much as I hate it, bring on the NA figures, Mattel.

I hated Optikk, still do, but it got me a step closer to my Spikor, so come on with NA He-Man and Skeletor!

if you paint it gold, he'd pretty much have a hair helmet.

just because they "don't" have plans for na heman doesn't mean he won't be made. somehow, eventually, they will release something that can be part swapped, like with kg, and we'll be able to make him... hopefully.

and i too HATED na when i was younger, but it's grown on me. i bought the set, all three heman, and now i want this. so the one i'm making for myself will do just fine until the real one comes.

I was disapointed their were no NA or movie characters revealed. If we do get a NA figure this year I hope it won't just be He-man, I'd rather have another character before yet another He-man is released. Flipshot or Darius would be cool.

Amazing pics...if NA had looked like that (and if the toys hadn't, you know, been terrible!) I might have liked it!

What's funny is that mock up of NA He-Man is pretty cool. He does need his longer hair, or ponytail, or whatever is going on with the original figure (heheh).

But The characters/toys are just so blah. OH dont get me wrong, I think they should be more evenly spaced as well. They are inarguably underrepresented.

I just feel bad that I cant be more bothered by that, because I am fair minded.

I just think their heroes are booring. Many of their villains are terrible too but I thinkt he 4 horsemen will make them compelling.

I will admit though, so you dont think I'm hating on NA (though what I'm about to say will only confirm that, heheh, thought that's not true) but the MOTUC-ization process can only help the NA Toys. Gah. I never watched the show, so I dont have nostalgia factor, but I'll admit that those orignal figures just looked really generic to me, and not in a good way. Cheap and crappy.

But their design elements could be made to look great in MOTUC. So bring it on.

    ..

incedentally before I edit, I can remember up front.

I absolutely have grown to love Squish Head Kalamar. Optikk was the only figure I ever wanted as a kid and I got it now. Both versions.

Sagitar has caught my imagination. Woot to giants/large scale beasts.

Flogg is kinda compelling as Flogg is the real faction leader. Quake is ok too.

But goodness are those heroes just the saddest mix of not quite GI Joe rejects. Again, I know not the cartoon, so their characters could be wonderful awesome heroes of amazing story not even Shakespear could do justice to. But their "Schtick" is just so bad.

Even so, they still are underrepresented, and that is not terribly fair.

Just wish I wasnt so ok with that. *Shrug* Would it make you guys angry if they were heavy on the SPace Mutants? Heheh. That's not right, I know, I know. But still....

Didn't Optikk sell really well? With a 4h treatment they can surely suit up any NA character and it would sell just as well as any 200x or POP figure.

Okay, NA overload. I used to think of New Adventures He-Man as a maybe as in maybe they will make him but now he is an absolute must. They must make this figure. Even if the outfit may not be my favorite the 4H style would make it awesome. I just hope he isn't a SDCC exclusive if they make him.

I've been forcing myself to watch the NA cartoon and while I don't hate it as much as I used to, it still sux. Though now I am not so opposed to NA in MOTUC.

What I would like to ask all of you is - who (of the characters revealed so far) would you be prepared to sacrifice to have an NA character revelaed - cos that is what it would take. It's alll well and good to ask for more NA but you'd have to rob Peter to pay Paul. So, who should go? Man-E-Faces? Faceless One? Clawful? IMO none of the recent reveals should be kicked out for an NA character (well, probably bikini Teela cos she sux too, but I realise that I am in the minority over that one).

I understand that it's probably not good to release all of NA at the end (cos no-one will buy it) but forcing so many of us to end up with figs we don't want *cough*human galactic guardian*cough* just to pad out the line (or whatever) kinda sounds stupid to me.

The way I see it, we have only so many spots per year and there are SO many MOTU characters yet to come out. One NA per year is ample. For the first few years anyway. Come 2014, then, by all means, have 3 or 4 NA characters released per year. There's no rush just yet to increase NA to more than one release per year.

I see what you're trying to say, but I don't buy your argument. If you add up the remaining regular sized vintage figures from MOTU, POP, and NA, you get something like 61 figures/characters left to be made (I'm not counting variants of existing characters nor large beasts like Modulock). That is 61 months worth of figures assuming we don't get any of those figures at SDCC. That is over 5 years worth of toys. Toyguru has told us that they have plans for the line through 2017. Assuming that those plans hold, there is more than enough room for all of the NA figures and POP figures to be made without taking away a slot for a MOTU figure. The mythos is rich, and there are lots of avenues that the Classics line can explore without taking anything away from the original vintage line. Plus, I'd imagine that Mattel wants to save some of the original MOTU figures for later in the line so as not to have it overly burdened with characters from one of the other vintage genres.

I'd sacrificing Man-E-Faces and Clawful. I think they're front-loading too many big name vintage MOTUs in this line and not spacing then out far enough. They are just releasing King Hsss and Sy-Klone this year.

I also prefer the normal he-man face but with the NA pony tail.

We are all getting stuck with figures we don't want. I'm stuck with a filmation Shadow Beast.

I would give up Faceless One. He's too 200x for me & doesn't fit in. They needed to down down his enormous collar & shoulder pads. They didn't Classic-zed him enough.

Look at those drawings above. The NA characters will be awesome when they are made. They need to increase to two a year at this point.
PoP Figures have to be based on the Vintage toys! This is NOT Filmation's Masters Of The Universe Classics MySpace Custom Blog

You know, outside of He-Man & Skeletor, I never cared for the NA figures as a child, but in Classics, I want THEM ALL!

Just a shame that Mattel seems to be heavily backloading them in the series...

Looking at the numbers, there REALLY should be no less than 3 NA figures each year to avoid an all NA year towards the end.
