Pick your favorite Heroic Warrior and Evil Warrior figures from 1982!

You get two votes on this poll: Pick your favorite Heroic Warrior figure and Evil Warrior figure from the vintage toy line's original lineup!

Edit: Zodac counts as a member of whichever faction you want him to, of course. ;b

No Battle Cat, Battle Ram, Wind Raider, or Castle Greyskull in this poll. =)

While I love all 8 of them, I went with He-Man & Beast Man.

He-Man since I used to have blonde hair as a kid(it's turned to light brown as I got older) and have always liked the "boy scout" type hero like Superman & Captain America.

Beast Man since I've always been an animal lover and loved that, to me, he looked like he was half ape & half Wolf Man.

Man-At-Arms because he had the coolest armor.

Skeletor because he had a skull for a head and wielded magic like no other.

Ditto, this is just too easy - would've been interesting if these two guys were taken out of the poll...

Technically this should be 1981, as that's when the designs were copyrighted and released, and they very first hit shelves in some areas (although they didn't get much widespread coverage until '82).

Anyway, me being horribly trivial aside... a lot of competition, but I went for He-Man and Skeletor. Not just for the obvious reasons of who they are in the line, but they're just so iconic.

Teela was close second place to He-Man - I love her vintage design.
Evil Warrior-wise, I was tempted to go with either Mer Man or Beast Man, but to me, they never quite lived up to their box art (especially Mer Man), something that was finally rectified decades later with the Classics line.

I had to go with He-Man and Skeletor. While I love them all, it started with these two for me. Without them, there really was no line IMO.

Skeletor was my first and favorite one, I still have him today!! Good guy.....I guess He-Man would be the one.
My grandfather once told me that there were two kinds of people: those who do the work and those who take the credit. He told me to try to be in the first group; there was much less competition.

    VERY tough to choose from!

I went with He-Man and Beast Man.

He-Man is obviously the best heroic warrior from the first year, no one else comes close.

Beast Man I went with for personal reasons. The bright colors...that white and blue on the face. One of my earliest memories that still exists in my mind is getting a Beast Man figure. I think he was one of if not my first MOTU figure.

The exact minute I posted that no one else voted for Beast Man, good ol' Count Marzo proves me wrong. If I'm ever in your neck of the woods(or vice versa), I'm buying you a beer(or maybe a "special" brownie).

I guess there aren't any Beauty & The Beast fans here. I'm the only one who voted for Beast Man and no one voted for Teela.

Jon, you need to make more of these! These are great!!!

He-Man/Skeletor is obvious. And I'm proven right.

I did like the suggestion that Merman was the coolest because he had the coolest armour.

But basically anyone who chose anyone other than those two were either being terminally hip, or are working on a heavy "boba fett" principal.
