HOLY-CRAP!!!!!!
It's great to see MOTU join the big boys!
Power-Con*, the first annual MOTU and POP fan convention in the US, is coming!
Tentatively scheduled for fall of this year, Power-Con is working with He-Man.org to help provide the best fan experience possible.
Power-Con wants to know what you'd like to see at a MOTU and POP fan convention!
Please post your feedback in this thread.
We'll be posting more information as it develops!
*This convention is not sponsored by, or affiliated with Mattel, Inc. or Classic Media, Inc.
----------
UPDATE 1:
As far as location, I can tell you now it will most likely be NY or CA. Those states have the highest concentration of fans who visit this site, as well as the highest concentration of talent involved in MOTU and POP both past and present, so please don't suggest locations. Any posts doing so will be edited or deleted.
I'll let you know when I hear more and can post the info.
As far as exclusives, I wouldn't count on any toy exclusives.
Though nothing is being ruled out as this stage.
Just know that this is a fan convention, that will no doubt start out modest in size, with a focus on fans, special guests and vendors,
just like with other fan conventions in the past (Bot-Con, My Little Pony Fair, Jem Con, etc)
Please suggest things you'd like to see at the con itself. That's what the Power-Con team would love to hear about. Thanks!

Now here's another excuse for me to fly over to the States this year...
Now this might make up for me missing out on SDCC tickets, looks like my US road trip might happen this year after all.
In terms of what I'd like to see, would be great if the 4HM could be there and bring the 200x 2ups like they recently did at Toypocalypse.
I know a exclusive figure or comic is probably out of the question but how about an t-shirt and exclusive poster by Emiliano?

Commissions - [TBA]
Please be on the east coast....
Dang, now I have to start saving for a trip to the States. Thanks guys! Sheesh. :P
Seriously tho. This. Is. Awesome.
As for what I'd like to see. I don't even know where to start.
Evil Simian Mechanic of the Horde!
Here are a few things that I'd like to see:
- Held on the East coast.
- A Mattel display.
- A Four Horsemen display
- Exclusive Item(s)
- Stars from the shows/movie (Actors, writers, producers, etc...)
- Custom figure contest

Awesome. Can't wait for more details!

Well now I don't feel as bad about missing SDCC. Some exclusive reveals and maybe figures would be cool. I think it should be in Dallas but thats just me being greedy
I probably don't care too much where it is... just when so I can get the time off in advance.
This is a great event. It need their own Exclusive figure in the same way Orko was. A special feature for the figure and a Mattycollector release for the event.
My suggestion -
Spirit of He-Ro (Glow in the Dark - PowerCon Exclusive)
Spirit of He-Ro (Translucent - MattyRelease)
TOP 25 ITEMS - WISHLIST
---------------------------------
- KARG, MOVIE 3PACK(SAUROD, BLADE, GWILDOR)
- GRANITA, METEORBS MULTIPACK
- TALON FIGHTER & POINT DREAD
- ELDOR, GRAY, ORACLE, QUEEN VEENA, BATTLE LION
- CALIX, DOUBLE TROUBLE, MODULOK, MULTIBOT, MANTISAUR
- HYDRON, WEAPONSTRONIC, TUSKADOR, SAGITAR, DARIUS
- FLOGG, STAGHORN, CRITA, HOOVE, LIZORR
Interesting.
Please make the Power-Con exclusives available to the He-Man.org community directly after the convention.
It figures...the one year I make arrangements to go to SDCC...and the one year I live outside of the US...
I'm expecting it to be held in my old hometown of Orlando....![]()
Oh, and is this con put on by the .org? If so, a Gorpo exclusive is a must!
I vote for Buffalo, NY. Everyone can go see Niagara Falls, it's close to Canada (two hours from Toronto) so it can be a North American con instead of a "US" con, and Mattel has a presence here (Fisher Price is located in its suburbs), so maybe if you held a con here they'd be more likely to step in and do something for it.
Just a thought. Also I live here. :-D Rooting for the home town like everyone.
I'm gonna use my massive powers of thought and reasoning and guess that it's going to be somewhere near where Val lives (Kentucky) since I'll be he's going to be doing the lion's share of the prep and planning.
Oh how I wish this would be somwhere in MO, AR, OK, or TX though so I could find a way to go.
Since the question has been officially asked "what I'd like to so in a MOTU & POP fan convention, I will officially answer...
I'd like for the con to be closer to where I live so that I could attend.
