vBulletin search features

When I search for a specific word, say Mekaneck, and the list gives me many threads to choose from, then I click on one thread, and it puts me in the first page of the thread.
Now what if the thread is 15 pages long? Sure the searched name appears in red whenever it's mentioned, but I still have to go through all the pages to be sure where it is mentioned (maybe it's only mentioned on page 11).

Is there an option in vBulletin, that it could take me straight to the page where the exact word is located?

I think the forum search in general needs a lot of work by vBulliten. It's weird that we're on a He-Man and She-Ra website, yet we can't search for "He-Man" or "She-Ra."

Be sure to use the Adavanced search, and down in the lower left select to show posts instead of threads, and it will show specific posts in the search results.

I know. I created a Ram Man thread the other day but decided I should search to see if anything similar was already made. I found out that searches involving words with less than 4 letters is a no-no.

The vBulletin search feature is one of it's weakest features.
We're hoping it's better with 4.x

I did find that if you use the main page's advanced search feature, and specify only to search the community, it helps a bit. I still think it's way too complicated and vBulliten really needs to work on it.

I do think that this site it so much more user friendly than Matty's though. Besides the fact that I've become quite loyal to He-Man.Org in the 2.5 years that I've been a daily visitor, I've only posted 20 times on Matty's forums since it is such a yucky site(I'm trying to be P.C. here) to navigate.

Been using the Advanced search, but I completely missed that part of being able to show either threads or posts (for a specific searched word, but still I have managed to use it when searching if a member has made threads and/or posts). Thanks!
