I got to say that the suit is growing on me. I am one who wishes he had the red shorts, but I can live with this costume. I hope there's a decent story to it.

He definitely has the mass to pull off Superman. I think that's something that has always been missing from the TV and movie versions. He just looks like he could pick up a car and throw it across town.

Henry looks great as The Man Of Steel. Still have mixed emotions on the costume though. Showed it to my mother and she goes "Whoa! He's huge!" Didn't bother to ask what she meant by that. But Henry by far has the best presence when it comes to the physical look of the Man of Steel since Chris Reeve. He looks like a buffed up Superhero! Like he should!

Even in more detail, the costume looks incomplete without the red trunks--and yeah, more than a little like the new Spider-Man costume in terms of how off I think the changes are. At least there's no racing stripes on him and the boots look right. Too dark though, they really can't seem to handle bright colors on the DC super hero costumes. Even Green Lantern looked dimmed down. Of course they tried to be "bright" with the Wonder Woman costume and that looked awful (but that wasn't a great costume, as it didn't look right even when it was dark).
Missing even from Welling? Cavill doesn't look to me like he has any more mass than him. Actually, he even looks leaner and more agile, but I think that'll be a good thing for the visual of flying.

I think he looks WAY bigger than Welling.
I think he's hit the gym more, but I'll have to see how they film Cavill before I think his mass seems bigger. Welling just seemed more broad-shouldered to me, maybe it was the jackets he wore.

that suit looks terrible. Looking at it has given me a laughing fit and not in a good way. This plus the new Spidey suit makes me think that Hollywood need to hire some new costume designers because the ones they have at the moment are LAME with a capital L,A,M and E

The suit looks Horrible. He is buff, but superman was never THAT Buff. That is what I liked about Superman. A normal everyday looking guy that was SUPERHUMAN.
I actually liked Superman Returns. I thought the actor done a good job. I was looking forward to another one. But oh well. In that one the whole story of him having a son and the "Lois" in that one whoever she was was the things I didn't like about it. But I thought it was good.
The Suit looks BAD............and he is TOO muscled. Again just my 2cents....

Maybe it needs the belt, because the red shorts just aren't working at all for me.
Welling wasn't that big. The guy that played Aquaman had a better build.

That last picture is awesome! I think the whole suit looks good that way. The current one really looks like Superman forgot to get fully dressed in my opinion.
Also, the bulge is fine. It looks big in the last picture because part of the shadow looks like it's part of the bulge.It's a lot smaller looking in the original picture.
