I want a helmeltless Stratos head!!!

Stratos was one of the figures i never intended on getting because I didn't like him. However, for some reason after seeing the TRU version I decided I wanted him and his regular version too. I've been watching the original series, just got the complete set , and found myself wondering what he'd look like under there? I do however prefer the MYP voice, which brings me to what I thought he'd look like. While in our library I found this staring at me and I thought of course, Stratos!



What you think he'd look like? I know we'll never get one, but what would you like?

They actually showed him helmetless in the 200x comics a few years ago. I'd be up for a helmetless version as well but I wouldn't hold your breath for it.

I know it won't happen, I was just crurious what people thought he looked like. Maybe I can find something to make a custom head out of. I'd like to see the comic pic though.

Ideas like these make me wonder what "ultimate MOTU toyline" really means.

MOTUC is supposed to be the definitive, all-inclusive MOTU toyline, isn´t it?
So when sales keep being great, an accessory set within the next few years is mandatory!
It should include snap-on armor for Trap Jaws weapons arm based on the 200x design, several helmetless heads and heads with different facial expressions, new palace guard headsculpts, weapons and tools as seen in various media (minus Filmation, "as they don´t have the rights"...) and so on.
Basically all those goodies fans are asking for from day one.
After all, what less can a company do to earn their money than delivering what the consumer asks for?

...so I believe Stratos somewhat resembles Beast-Man when he takes his aviator cap off at night. I think the whole eagle-eye thing works well too. He should have bird-like eyes as a flier. Just don't ask me what genetic quirk is responsible for the sock feet

i don't like the sock feet. i would prefer him to have beastman feet but i'd even settle for the 3 toed skeley. they look good too.

I'd like to see that picture. I'm curious about what he would look like myself. I'd go for a helmetless Stratos head if they made it. I'm pretty into the idea of alternate head sculpts in general be they 200x versions, alternate hair or skin colors, different expressions, whatever.

Oooh. Helmetless Evil-Lyn would be awesome.

It'd be interesting to get characters like Stratos, Mekaneck, Zodac and others without their helmets. Might be a good idea for variant figures someday.

Your best bet is probably to find a cutomizer to cast the Stratos head and sculpt the eyes/top of the head over the sanded down helmet. There are some great customizers that do this sort of thing. Personally I'm not that interested in getting a Stratos variant but would buy it anyway. Something about the 200x characterization on Stratos (especially his voice in the toon) just made me even less interested in him than I was before.

How would that work for Mekaneck though? Would it be a "from the past" look? I'd imagine his head gear as part of some sort of bio-genetic interface. No real "human" eyes there.

It'd cost too much, and it would have to replace a new figure... but I'd rather have ONE figure/monthly slot that I could care less about, then see 20 varients I care nothing about

that does look tons better. i thought about bringing the feathers down ontop of the brow and also giving him the 3 raised mohawkish areas of feathers like the top of his helmet.
