Very funny! HAHAHA!
El Segundo, CA. Mattel, the world's largest toymaker, famous for products like Barbie and Hot Wheels announced today that they will no longer be making any boys action figure lines. While the company, formed in 1945 when founders Harold "Matt" Matson and Elliot Handler came together, announced in a press release that after years of failing to make substantial gains in the boys action figure arena that they would withdraw due to economic reasons to focus on other areas, such as maintaining their grip on the girl 15 and under market niche (Barbie), as well as the boys and girls under 10 markets (Hot Wheels, Thomas the Tank Engine, etc.). Mattel is known for such toy staples as the Magic 8 Ball, stated that after steady losses in their boys market that they would withdraw from further product offerings.
"We've tried a lot" said a Mattel spokesperson. "Batman, Superman, Yu-Gi-Oh, Tarzan, Mega Man, you name it, but we've never gotten the return we've wanted." The spokesperson continued, "We even tried branching out to the adult collectors, but the response has been highly criticized." In a slide shown during the presentation, Mattel cited their recent "He-man and the Masters of the Universe" as an example. "The 2002 relaunch of He-man showed excellent promise, then as you can see, sales sharply fell not long after that. It's almost as if no one wanted our near solid cases of our very exciting Spin Blade Skeletor and Smash Blade He-man variant figures." Similarly they showed their sales for Batman, stating, "It really was like kids just didn't want forty three different versions of Batman."
The presentation moved on to their adult collectible line offered on the internet only, via Mattycollector.com. The spokesperson continued, "We were quite disappointed with our website sales and the response it generated, as you can see here, the only dependable day for sales was the 15th of the month." Later the spokesperson criticized those purchasing their products. "We offer a much slower and less dependable shipping method and we get complaints. We knowingly sell products that are misassembled and they complain. We leave out accessories, our products are manufactured incorrectly, paint the figure poorly, and use such shoddy materials that the figures break in the box and they complain. They don't seem to understand that we're in the business to make money. It's not like we're using lead paint." The spokesperson concluded that true loyal customers buy thousands of dollars of their product without ever seeing it.

looks like another Mo-Larr type figure, I still have not opened him. I would not care for him or them. But of course would buy it to support the line, just like I did with Mo-larr.
Hello, 2012 subscriber bonus figure!

I smell an April Fool's prank.
Even if it's not, that's so....odd. Don't get me wrong, Wundar was an interesting mail-away. But Quakor? I dunno.
Thanks for putting these in one thread. April 1 is a day to avoid on the net for these reasons.
Obviously it's April Fools but I loved me some Quaker Oats oatmeal as a kid. I'd get both of them. Between so many people flipping out about Mo-Larr and the preposterousness of it all, I know we'll never see either of them. Although, if we did, let's also include Rastus the Cream Of Wheat mascot...

339/1 Is so great. Glad he's finally getting the MOTUC treatment.
Okay, this REALLY irks me!! 339/1 is a great figure overall, but that belt is just wrong!! What's with the anime hyper detail on it, huh? I THOUGHT the 200x style was retired! The colors don't even match up properly on the leather part!
COME ON MATTEL!
You know what? I'm sick of this! I was looking forward to 339/1 more than any other figure... now I'm crushed. You just lost a customer, Matty!
I am officially cremating my entire collection!!![]()
I'm hoping for a Disco Skeletor for the next subscription exclusive! Fully flocked!
