The Zoar That Came With MOTUC Teela

I always thought that the Zoar that came with the MOUTC Teela was the remake of the giant Zoar we got in the oringal line.

I think the Zoar that came with the first MOTUC Teela was indeed her falcon form. I know BG Teela is in her training togs and not her Sorceress 'outfit' (per ToyGuru), but I look at the lack of blue feathers on the Zoar we have, and the lack of blue in BG Teela's garb, and it makes me think they go together.

That being said, if I recall correctly, ToyGuru also confirmed that a blue and orange Zoar would come out one day (presumably with the Sorceress we all know and love)!

Personally I like my Zoar and Screeech to be birds of prey, not transmogrified women.

Of course the Zoar we have is an homage to the original Zoar cardback art.

What I'm asking is, now that we know Teela is the new Sorceress, are we to assume that the bird that came with her is HER version of Zoar, while the inevitable blue feathered version (that will likely come with Sorceress) is her mother's?

I thought the Zoar that came with Teela was supposed to be the red male Zoar from the Mini-Comics... but since it looks like the mini-comic back cross-sell, it doesn't match the inside-mini-comic Zoar who was all red with red armor...

orange Zoar with green armor - Teela's Sorceress bird form

blue & orange Zoar with red armor - Sorceress's bird form

I my canon Zoar (Cardback Zoar: orange/red with green armor) is the male fighting falcon from the mini comics. He is a companion to He-Man like Battle Cat.



The Sorceress bird form has orange and blue feathers and doesn't wear the armor (at least mine won't once we get her). She isn't a fighter, so what would be the point?


Teela doesn't have an animal form yet.

Zoar, the fighting falcon is just a fighting falcon (In my canon he is from Preternia).

Sorceress can transforms in a blue falcon.

My Take:

-Zoar, the (male) Fighting Falcon, is the orange bird who came with Teela, Warrior Goddess and he wears the green armor into battle. He is the mini-comic companion to He-Man and who may (according to DC Comics) have some magical abilities.

-The Sorceress' Falcon Form (not Zoar, despite FILMation), is the blue, orange, and white bird who will likely come with The Sorceress' Vintage styled figure. (I would love to see white and pink versions of her forms as well!) This bird wears no armor and is, like the Sorceress (because it is her) female.

I agree that the Zoar that came with Teela is the male fighting falcon, surely Teela's animal form would be a Cobra (however, this would be a pretty poor form to travel around Eternia in!)

Since Zodac & Zodak are both in the line, I figured the bird that came with Teela was a minature version of Zoar the male fighting falcon. If we get the falcon with blue on it, it will be the bird form of some dead character.

To me, I think all the Zoars are the Sorceress. It's like saying there are multiple Ram-Mans, or multiple Mer-Man because we get different decos. It's all one character.

One problem. The red Zoar has yellow armor--more yellow compared to the green from the cardback. I want that variant too, and I'd love it if he's big like the original toy in size (but I'll take small if that's all we're budgeted for). I totally agree with him being a companion to He-Man and not another sorceress.
