Well it's a good thing they have them all available along with most books and magazines to read here on the org!

I'm in the process of editing the first four mini-comics in order to fit Oo-Larr into the timeline a little better. Most of it consists of name changes but there are a few minor story changes here and there as well. I will try to get them posted on the forum soon.

I always have and always will think that Duncan is Teela's biological father. Though he may not even know it.

He obviously cares deeply for the Sorceress. And she's always screwed with Teela's head...for "her own good." Who's to say she didn't do the same to Duncan?

Could be the case but in the Filmation episode "Teela's Quest" it isn't Duncan telling the story of Teela's past. It's the Oracle of the Crystal Sea.

My take has always been the Filmation one, along with a few deductions.

Teela's father was most likely a royal guardsman who died fighting the Horde after marrying the Sorceress. He died before Teela was born. I think Duncan didn't name her father when he told her of him, likely because he feared it might lead her in some way to her mother; I don't think there was any deep, dark secret concerning him, per se, just his link to the Sorceress.

I agree. I think in most versions of the story her father is never revealed because it could lead back to the Sorceress (even in the case of having no father and being a clone)

Man-At-Arms/Duncan is Teela's biological father in my canon. He's overly protective of Teela, like a real father. I'm sure adopted parents can be the same way, but there just seemed to be that real dynamic of parent/child in the Filmation series (of course, even though she's got a different story), and in the MOTU movie. I think there's a scene where Man-At-Arms makes a note about "your mother and I" to Teela.

The Sorceress never seemed to be the motherly type to me. Since she's stuck all alone at Castle Grayskull, almost like a monk or nun would be, it's hard for me to imagine her as ever having Teela.

As much as I love Fisto, I can't imagine him as the father. He seems too young! (Growing up and playing with my sibling, looking at the figures, if He-Man was in his 20's, Fisto seemed to be in his late 30's, older, but still quite young).

Where were you in The Faceless One thread? I even referred to the plot point of TFO being Evil-Lyn's father as his Maury Povich reveal!

Damn, I mustve missed that one.

I came late to the Faceless One thread, so I briefly skimmed through it.

What are everyone's thoughts on this idea and those connections?
It doesn't really work for me, but it's cool that you are coming up with ideas for things, in lieu of the ideas that you don't agree with.

For me, Teela's not Fisto's daughter, nor is she a clone, nor was she hatched from an egg.

Teela is MAA's daughter (both adopted and biological). He just forgot about his connection to the Sorceress, due to the events of the Great Unrest.

Don't like the clone angle, LOVE the Fisto angle.

Unless Toyguru does something at thousand times better with the dude in MOTUC, he's her Dad as far as it goes for me.

We can assume that Zoar laid an egg, as Zoar is a bird. See:

Wow, I'd forgotten about that. I can't believe that Filmation was really trying to sell this to children. What's the difference between that:

I know that the writers for MYP had confirmed this, but I honestly just don't see Fisto in this pic. Aside from the bandaged arm (any broken arm in a cast is gonna look like that), the man in that pic really bares no resemblance to Fisto.

Look at the eybrow (it's not red hair).

But, the writers did confirm it was supposed to be Fisto, so this is just on of the few things from 200X that I don't agree with, and I've "fan fic'd" it out of my MOTU canon.

I agree that it can't be Fisto. Skin is all wrong.
However, it DOES look like Duncan.

The hyper anime Filmation haters like to assume that Teela "hatched from an egg" because she was shown as an infant in a nest with Zoar watching over her.

Why would Teela be outside in a nest out in the Crystal Sea? Where any hungry airborne predator can snatch up baby Teela?

She would be in a crib inside of Grayskull, where it's safest.

That's why there is an assumption that Teela was hatched, otherwise it makes no sense for her to be outside.

So when the Sorceress was ready to give birth, she figured it'd be easier to change into Zoar and lay an egg?

Don't blame me for Filmation plot holes.

It makes far more sense for The Sorceress to give birth to Teela inside of the Castle, instead of an unwrapped baby Teela somehow winding up in a nest way out in the Crystal Sea.

Maybe it was easier for Zoar to lay an egg than The Sorceress giving birth with no midwife around.

Maybe she couldnt give birth to Teela inside of Castle Grayskull. She gave up a lot as well as accepted a lot of responsibilities when she took on the task of being the Sorceress of Grayskull including not sharing the secrets of Castle Grayskull with ANYONE even an infant. Perhaps this is why she ended up in Man-At-Arms' care at a very young age.

This is the problem with you hyper anime fans that need everything spelled out for you. Use your avatar of the imagination!
