MOTUC Most Wanted: Skeletor's Robot Knights, Two-Bad, Horde Troopers, Modulok, Sssqueeze, Tung Lashor, Stridor, Night Stalker, the Battle Ram, and a true, alternate head for Wun-Dar (since he's a "different" character)!
Ok... I have to say i find it amusing that the comercial I have here is about internet freezing and buffering videos... and the commercial for it is constantly freezing....
I love irony!!!
At least I can pause the actual video... but those internet commercials bug me greatly...
Hey great review Dan. But you forgot to show underneath the new loin cloth to mention the new thighs that are in place. And how they function articulation wise in comparison to regular Teela and other characters who share the 1st female buck. The new thigh piece used in B.G teela apparantly doesn't allow for rotation articulation anymore. Just simple up and down and lateral movments, no rotations. So, dynamic posing may be compramised. Can you comment anymore on this perhaps? Thanks again.![]()

what'd'ya mean all the perverts out there? We don't have perverts on here, do we?
BTW, Great review.![]()
Does Galactus fart?
Great review! You are the Bard of Grayskull!!!
It's funny, I saw the table in front of you and thought, Oh, he made sure no crotch shots in this one. Then the camera angle dropped as it zoomed in.
She looks great, and I had heard about the new leg articulation. While there is the change, it seems you can still do a lot of dynamic posing.
Out of curiosity, would you be able to take a shot of her with Teela's helmeted head?
I bought TWO 2013 Subscription as support, because of the promise that showing support will ensure 2014 will include ALL the major POP and NA characters.
OMG I love this figure! Everything about this figure is just amazing and I love the blond hair on the original body...that's just awesome! I already have a sub for two of her but I"m probably going to pick up a couple more than that. Fantastic job 4H!!!
It's all about being polished when it counts!
Great review!
Your BGT's head actually looks really nice on regular Teela's body. I wasn't digging the look with TheFwoosh's pic, but I'm digging it now.
Also, thank you VERY much for pulling up Teela's top!I was ultra curious to see if they painted a bra on her, but they didn't! She is so perfect for customs, like I had hoped!
I do have a picture request though!
Could you please take a picture of her 'T' crotch with her loin cloth flipped up? Front and back please. I want to try and draw designs with it to demonstrate how Mattel can make it work for the other female figures with tricky outfits that they have made one piece (like Teela, She-Ra and Queen Marlena). I have the ideas in my head, but I need to see what we've got to work with.![]()
Take part in Illumina Day! Let people know who she is and help get her in MOTUC.

On the leg articulation, here are some upskirt shots!
As you can see, the joint is in fact different. The twist joint is different. However, the legs do still twist, and are still able to be spread easily for sitting and saddling positions. Dynamic poses do not seem to be a problem whatsoever, as I was able to pose her aorund pretty much any way I intended. So should be no worries there.![]()

Thanks Dan! You're review has me liking this figure more now than after I saw previous pics/review of her.
Another question, is her skin tone better matched to She-Ra or Catra if you had to pick one (or just WAY off from both). Just in case I need to swap parts around on these ladies.
Great review!
This is a great and versatile addition to the line. Ii hope they release her Unicorn some day and I hope they consider using the newer parts if they re release the original Teela down the road.

Thanks for taking those aditional shots of the new legs Dan. it's really helpful since i was wondering if i would need to do some customising on her for her to be able to adopt some of the poses that i have in mind.

I liked the She-ra bit at the end. Got a laugh out of that. Good stuff.
THE GOOD (Dan's Review)
THE BAD and (The Toy)
THE UGLY (The Bio)
I think the bio goes well with Teela in the Goddess armor. Blonde Teela is a diferent character in my canon.
To infinity, and beyond!
Thank you for posting this!!
I have to say, after seeing this figure in action, I'm really disappointed.
It seems that even though there is a new buck, they just applied existing technology/design from the DCUC line to the MOTUC line.
There seems to have been no real testing of the new figure or parts.
The legs are nicer looking but less functional. That's not so great, especially on a figure who is made for battle.
She's not Perfuma... She's not made to pose as a statuesque beauty.
I don't know, I just don't love the fact that she can't be posed in a sideways lunge like regular Teela, for example... Or at least not with the lunging leg aiming out, and the supportive rear leg aimed straight on.
Picky? Yes.
Are the figures expensive? Yes.
I rest my case.
I am also REALLY annoyed by the hard hair on Catra AND BG Teela.
A Want List of Sorts:
Rokkon, Stonedar, Nepthu, Plundor, Sea Hawk, Strong-Arm, Dactys, Horde Troopers, Storm, Geldor, Modulok, Battle Ram, Kowl, Loo-Kee, Hydron, Glimmer, Angella, Stridor, Eldor, Two Bad, Ninjor, Rio Blast, Mermista, Entrapta, Sweet Bee, Peekablue, Double Trouble, Perfuma, Flutterina, Spinnerella, Gorpo, Flogg, Crita, Madam Razz & Broom
I agree about the legs. I'm not liking BGT's legs at all. I think I'd rather have the ugly gaps from original Teela's legs then loose the articulation. . and I'm not even an articulation guy. Seeing this Teela makes me glad Marlena seems to have the old articulation.
As for the hard hair, hasn't Matty said in the past that safety requirements force them to make long hair out of firmer plastics? I'd assume so kids don't chew it off and swallow it?
She looks awesome, and seems really well articulated except for the waist! I'd love to see a picture of her on Battle cat.
Great review, Dan ! You forgot to point out the "butterface", though.![]()
Yes, it's too bad that the new belly looks weird once you twist it... and for Heaven's sake, can't they make softer hair ? didn't they understand yet that it hinders movement ?
About the legs movement, it seems BG Teela would have less movement than Catra. Or is it just a feeling ?
I'm so happy that Teela has a HARD sword (compared to Catra's "soft caramel sword", it is so much better) ! But the end of her blaster seemed a bit bent on your review, Dan.
But I agree with bcrduke when he says:
It seems that even though there is a new buck, they just applied existing technology/design from the DCUC line to the MOTUC line.
There seems to have been no real testing of the new figure or parts.
All in all, I guess Battleground Teela isn't that great, but she is OK, I guess. I'll probably buy her. Still, she's not worth the money she costs, in my opinion. Now, let's pray there won't be any factory defects and faults...
Nice review, but I still wish the bio was different. Can't wait to get her though.
