Megator and Man-E-Faces Revealed

I may make an exception to my "Evil Warriors only" collecting rule for Man-E-Faces, since Man-E-Faces was the first Heroic Warrior figure that I ever owned as a kid, and the Classics figure looks so darn cool. =D

Did he keep Megator in the Central Tower Jaws as the place was sinking beneath the Earth, also killing himself in the process?

That's got to be how it happened. Makes a lot of sense.
I really dig Megator's bio. They made him very interesting.

There are so many great things in his bio:

He was a member of the horde, he died in the jaws of Central Tower, Hiss revided him and became a member of the snake men, he's a huge zombie and he fought He-man in modern days.
Now that's one cool character right there!

Wasn't Megator allied with King Hiss in Preternia? This makes it sound like he wasn't until the present (I assume the second Ultimate Battleground is during He-Man's time).

Two other things: "Peaks of Perpetua" would have sounded better than "Mountains of Perpetua", and they have a spelling mistake in Megator's bio (lead instead of led).

As always, evil reigns. Zombie giant sticking it to the forces of good. Classic. His secret accessory? Tytus' tombstone! So that Megator can eat raw flesh above Tytus' grave while kicking over his gravestone. "Nyah! Nyah! How's the weather down there Tytus?"

As for Man-E-Faces, the figure is cool but the real name leaves a little to be desired. I mean, why would his real name be the drug that Krusty the Klown blames his sexual harrassment innuendos on?

I don't mind it, I stopped paying attention to their real names long ago. To me the "real" names are their codenames anyway

Yeah...he appears to be with King Hiss. The Hordak thing threw me for a loop...

I like the bios though. Not bad. I laughed at Megator dying...being resurrected...and dying again! It's funny, because when we first saw Megator I said he looked really creepy and I think I said zombie-like! Awesome.

I wonder if they're going to make this green self like...rotting flesh? I mean, he could have originally been human looking, like Tytus...

The Bio is interesting because it mentions the other Giants allied with Grayskull so where does that leave the Giants that go with Skeletor? Are they descendants of Megator?

Megator looks great but I'll wait to see the final colors on Manny before giving my opinion.

Manny's bio is OK but doesn't really explain the robot aspect. As for his real name, I think it might be the worst one yet.

I'm not liking Megator's bio. I generally hate the idea of zombies in pop culture(except for Romero's movies and Snyder's Dawn Of The Dead remake) so bringing it to MOTU really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I also don't understand why Megator isn't his real name. Can't some of the names just be their names(like Hordak for instance)?

I think maybe Megator is what zombie Moleb was called when Hisss ressurected him. Like he'd neccessarily know the name of the giant corpse he found? Not saying he didnt know it was Moleb, but that Megator could be a nickname for Hiss's Giant Zombie.

I like the idea that Green Megator (as in the picture art on original box with King Hisss) is the Zombie and perhaps when he was a Horde Conscript he was a Caucasian Giant LIke Tytus. Would make sense and be kinda cool. Of course I like all the different coloured people, so he probably has always been green, but it fits and is kinda cool to make it "zombie green".

No idea the secret accessory with Megator. LIke the idea that it could be a Horde Harness to wear, but so far agree with the suggestion maybe just Skeletor's 200x swords, just to get them out there. Kinda hope not though, so it's something more for Megator.

Manny I like well enough. Didnt look orange to me, not like Man-E-Faces orange anyway. Looked perfectly caucasoid to me.

LIke his paint alot. Name is fine, but maybe a little strange, but not as bad as some. At least it seems like something an Eternian actor may have for a name.

Like the story about the monster potion. Never read that before. Am curious how the robot part saved him, but I like the ideas it gives me. LIke they couldnt seperate the monster, but the robot head at least controls it when he changes into the monster, so he can be good. Like he was evil as the monster until the robot headgear saved him, so now he can control it.\

Also makes it cool when Beastman takes him over, like it's reawakining the evil, bringing him back to where he's been before.

Not sure what his extra accessory would be either. Hopefully not a shield. Hoping another head with 3 faces, or maybe two heads with 3 faces, making Man-E the one Toyguru said had 3 heads comming. Just hope it's cool.

Not saying I hate Clawful's shield (I kinda do, but I get it and it makes sense) but I just dont need a Man-E shield.

Good bios, good thought provokers, do wish they'd mentioned how Tytus died defeating Megator, but hey good stuff.

The bios are OK, I guess (love the real name Moleb the Destroyer ! One of the best real names so far, IMO). Although I always figured Megator was a member of Skeletor's evil warriors, not a member of Hordak's Horde or of King Hssss's troops. Not too sure about the zombie idea, but oh well... I couldn't care less about the bios, really. Also, I wonder what's the secret accessory. You can't see it in the picture, and I guess it must be at the bottom of the box.

There are more important things we'll have to focus on, though.

For instance, on the picture, Man-E-Faces' face doesn't seem straight... Does that mean he'll have a "rotating bobble face" that moves too easily inside his helmet and cannot stay in the position you want ?

Most of all, I want to know if Mattel had enough brains and respect for us consumers as to make Megator's loincloth much softer than Tytus's... I want my Megator to be able to deliver a "kick" ! This was Megator's 80's main feature.

All in all, I just can't wait for the reviews and videos of those figures.

All in all, I just can't wait for the reviews and videos of those figures.

When packaging is done, many of the articulated loose parts seem to move from handling and shipping, so it's way too early to tell if it's suffering from a bubble head syndrome or not, like you said, let's wait until Pixel Dan or other reviewers cover those dilemmas...

As for Megator's chain, I don't know, from the cardback picture it seems okay to me unlike the Convention prototype. Let's hope they fixed it already.

Just saw these on MATTY's FaceBook.

I'm silly sometimes, ok, most of the times. I was squinting my eyes reading Megator's bio on his cardback not realizing if I scrolled down more a bit, there's a close up pic of the bio itself!

Anyway, digging the bios. Man-E's is a perfect replica of the mini-comic. Except it was The Goddess and not The Sorceress who helped him.

Interesting name though.
