Wrap Trap Speculation Thread

Who do you guys think he is. Its the only Trademarked name you I have no idea about. My only guess is that he is the horde Mummy? Any thoughts on it?

if it's not the Horde mummy, then it's a character from the same line that Clawdeen Wolf is from.

I might be wrong, but the "Wrap Trap" was a toy that never made it into the line... it wasn't a figure.

There are pics somewhere here of Skeletor sitting on top of this plastic thing that has two rubber-bands... and He-Man is about to be wrapped up in them. It's a terribly crude prototype, as part of it was WOOD... so obviously it never made it into the plastic prototype stage.

Check the scans from the Tomart Action Figure Digest MOTU articles. There's a Horde mummy in there. I'm thinking that's Wrap Trap!

So Mattel has trademarked Wrap Trap, but what exactly is it?

A vehicle? The Horde mummy guy? Something not MotUC related? Speculate away...

The Horde Mummy would be incredible. I loved the custom that Master English did, and ever since then I have really wanted one.

Maybe they're using that name for the concept Mummy Horde character... because I can't see them making this barely-finished concept idea from the classic line into a fully-realized MOTUC playset before they bring us the likes of Point Dread or Slime Pit. But I welcome surprises!

After looking at the prototype, I'd rather it be the name of the Horde Mummy.

It could also be the name of Clamp Champ's weapon; although, that might be stretching it a bit.

It's possible that Wrap Trap isn't even for the MOTUC line, or that they're gonna reference it in a bio.

Even if it were meant as the name if that awful toy, they could reassign the name to the Horde mummy.

They could use King Hssss parts for him too. His scalely arms and legs could be painted to look like bandages.

Oh yes, definitely. I hope it didn't come off like I was implying that it had to be the playset by posting that pic. It's just that there's still tons of folks unfamiliar with this contraption, and I like to see the reactions to it.

Not at all. I was glad you posted the pic, because back when. This thread originally appeared, I too suggested that contraption, yet no one acknowledged that lol!!!

So I just meant that I hope they do reassign the name!
