I totally want Skeletor's throne! Glad to hear them say it's a possibility, at least.
Besides the answer on Clawful though...I pretty much could have answered this Q&A myself.![]()
Mattel has once again provided answers to your questions.
Thanks again to them for taking the time to answer these!
Check out their answers to your Round 58 questions!
This round of questions were selected by Skeletortilla.
Thanks to that fan for their help!
-------------------
1. Prahvus:
Could you please make sure that the crotch pieces of all figures will allow legs movement? King Hssss and Bow's crotch prevent decent leg movement and I personally don't want to buy figures that will use that kind of crotch.
We will certainly pass this along to the design team!
2. Swanmarsh:
With all the excitement about the Weapons Rack diorama set, many fans are hoping we may eventually see items like Skeletor's Bone Throne. While the Bone Throne is often associated with the vintage cartoon, it was featured in artwork and named in Mattel's 1982 Licensing Kit. Could we anticipate a Bone Throne in MOTUC?
Due to it’s inclusion in the licensor kit we certainly could get to this one day. But nothing is planned right now. It would be pretty sweet huh?
3. Skeletortilla:
Since it has now been confirmed that Hurricane Hordak will have vac-metal armor, is it possible we will see a reissue of He-Ro at some point with this same armor since the original 80s prototype had it, and will any other future figures have vac metal parts? It will also greatly help Hurricane Hordak blend in with the rest of the line if more than one figure has vac-metal.
It is always possible we could revisit He-Ro at some point, but nothing is planned right now. This certainly would be a cool way to update him!
4. 13977:
It was revealed in Clawful's bio that his race is called the Karikoni, which I don't believe has been revealed before. Was this species name something the Matty MOTUC team came up with themselves or was it taken from some existing unreleased source material?
This was an original addition from the Matty team based on some route words for fish and crab animals.
5. Reboot:
You packed in Cringer as an undersized, limited-articulation character. As generally depicted he should be a similar size to the standard male buck. He's a tiger, not a lynx. Why make him an accessory instead of waiting for a $20 slot to do him bigger with more articulation?
Toy Guru posted a detailed account of this over in the Mattycollector.colm forums. Check it out for the full scoop!

Throne of Bones response was the most interesting thing here.
I may just be a Gay Pop fan...but I am also the one who wants ALL of the Figures, who wants this line to continue and who is putting my money where my mouth is....are you doing the same?

Randor: He-Man! You can FLY!
He-Man: ... No...
This was a let down, honestly was it just me or did anyone else feel like these questions have been answered before...oh wait at least 2 of them have been answered before. Also, on a side note, number one isn't a question it's a statement.
Oh well, moving on then...![]()
The worst thing that happens to you can be the best thing for you if you don't let it get the best of you.
If ya' want better questions... then why not try and ask them yourselves, eh?
I thought it was succinct and to the point. Some good answers, and especially the part where they're looking into the new male crotch-piece.
(That was actually news to me, that the new crotch-piece didn't work as well as it could have...)
I would've thought that Skeletor's throne was a no brainer?!

I picked what I thought were the best questions with the limited number that were available.
One great question had to be skipped because that person had a question answered in the previous round.
Also, at the time the Cringer question was asked, Toyguru had not yet released the statement regarding him.
Sorry if I disappointed.

Yeah, one of the challenges of choosing questions is that people come up with original questions, but by the time these get chosen and sent to Mattel, other like-minded fans have asked the same or similar questions on Mattycollector's forums (where ToyGuru is quicker to answer) or via other sites' Q&A's, thus the WTFWTK answers sometimes come out and sound a little redundant.
motufan425, there's a 2 week delay from when questions are submitted and when they are answered.
Sometimes these questions get answered on Matty in the mean time and sometimes unbeknownst to us they were submitted 2 weeks prior by another site and we get the answers the day after the questions were submitted.
That's just how it goes.
We're all dog-piling motufan425.
Of course, he kinda deserves it.![]()
I enjoy coming here to get any MOTU news, trivia, and learning new stuff about a property I love. I have a problem with this.
If you are going to feature questions, Why not answer them directly or at least provide a link directly to the answer? The answer here no matter how much suger is put on it just says "find out for yourself". If an answer is not going to be answered in this place, forum, article,..just don't include it.
Just my two cents.
"route" words... hehe.

So, what was the answer to the Cringer question? I didn't see it on the mattycollector forums.
Welcome to the boards, and congrats on your first post.
I believe that he's referring to this (from this thread):
And finally Cringer, the added accessory! A lot of fans have asked why we went with a non articulated younger Cringer (well he can move his head and tail!) If we did a full adult sized Cringer with full articulation, that would take mega development and at this point we need to save that for figures like Hssss, Leech and other fully tool'd figures we want to get to one day like Ram Man etc...
We could potentially do an "adult" Cringer as a monthly slot as a fully tool'd figure. But to get a Cringer out now, this felt like a good starting point. Doesn't close the door, but doing a fully tool'd adult Cringer is not in the cards anytime in the next few years. Maybe down the road!

yeah, not too exciting, but then here is the link to the He-man.org forums to see what the fans had to say, and as you said, Doorman posted the answer to cringer. I didnt want to hunt through the matty forums, and now I dont.
So tip top shape, all done good. thanks.
But I do agree this round was pretty unispired. Lets get some better questions you smart inventive people.
I totally get it being frustrating when a question is answered on another site or on our "Ask Matty" forum. Another thing to point out. It's been over 50 weeks of 5 to 10 questions. The thing is, there is only so much we can talk about (i.e. we can't comment on logistics, legal issues and characters not yet made). There just may not be that much more unknown info on the line. There just are not as many relevant questions.
Although I can tell you come SDCC, we are opening up several giant wind tunnels (figuratively speaking, this was not a Sy-Klone or Tytus reference or any other thing like that) that will really shake things up (that was not a Quakke reference or any other thing like that). I have a feeling the Q & As will liven up again (that was not a Glimmer reference or any other thing like that). We're in a bit of a "new info lull" as we save all the big news (that was not a Ram Man reference or any other thing like that) for SDCC!
Sorry guys if you didn't like the Bone Throne question.Last I could recall there was a debate as to whether it was Filmation or available for use. I don't remember seeing the question answered directly before.
And yes, while one would hope being featured in the licencing kit would be a guarantee Skeletor's Bone Throne is owned by Mattel and available for use, there are the odd exceptions (like Light Hope featured in vintage POP mini-comics but still somehow seemingly off limits).
