I loved this mini-comic as a kid.

Same here. This one and Slave City were my absolute favorites of the mini comics I had. I would love to see these guys and Lodar incorporated in the Classics line.

I remember reading that minicomics over and over when i was a child...I prtuclarly liked the colours of the demons, so vibrant...they will be perfect in a 2-pack with the masks and the hobgoblins.

does anyone feel that mattel put ink & dagger evil lyn and the green demon on the fan vote just to take off some votes from illumina? because, as one of you previouly said, the green demon all alone is kinda useless and we know thata lot of the fanbase want a new more accurate 200x evil lyn (yes, we also know that we already got one but, you know, theyre 200x fans....they had their toys collection with several waves and everything but theyre miserly and they want all the slots for themselves. argh! )

Since the Green Demon didn't get enough support in the 2013 sub vote, my initial thoughts were " C'mon folks, what's wrong with you!? This is OLD SCHOOL He-man we're talking about!! "

Then, I realized that this could be a " blessing" in disguise IF we were to unite and express our interest in seeing the demons in a two-pack. The two-pack presents a better opportunity to get both characters out at the same time. I mean, honestly, who wants ONLY one demon? I believe that many of us who were kids in the early 80s were truly inspired by the epic, "Masks of Power" story, and always wanted these two awesome monsters in our collection battling he-man, and hanging out by our snake mountain playsets. The "keep it simple" design aspects of these charactes would have made them compatible with other toy lines of the time.

As far as the two-pack goes. I would like to NOT have this as any sort of exclusive; instead, this OUGHT to be in the subscription. The reason being, is that everyone deserves to get these characters; plus, they also make great customs. Some of the ideas that could be incoroprated towards the production include:

Re-molded Heads
Re-worked Demo-Man buck for Green Demon
Re-worked Beast-Man buck for Violet Demon
Keeping them as accurate as possible, they would require a re-tooled loin-cloth pieces that resembled the comic's "bare" look
Two smaller goblins with removeable heads so that the larger, demon heads could fit over the as well making them appear like masks
Include a Mini-comic Sequel or at the very least, a re-print
Extra weapons, armor, horde armor?, in order to allow the collector to customize


Keep this thread alive! Urge your friends! Post Mask of Power Demon art! Mattel needs to know our longing to have both these characters in MOTUC.

Other thoughts - Since these characters look massive in the comics, should Mattel apply the use of new tooling? Would there be enough support for this ? In other words should the Violet Demon have a buffer, buck? I wonder because lacking armor, it would look smaller next to beastman.

I voted for the green demon, Illumina would have been my second choice. I am not too glad about Geldor, but well.

I am in for a two pack now. For me there is no need of weapons, armor or a mini-comic, but instead there should be three heads for each of the demons:

1. The Mask

2. The transformation demon head

3. The heads of the demons when He-man cut off the masks (purple and green)

4. YES included the little demons with their own little heads, but make it possible to put on the masks.

Best minicomic of the entire line. I can't understand WHY people want Geldor instead of all the rest? I mean the only figure that is a worse choice than Geldor, at least TO ME, is Songster!

I would buy this if it were offered outside of the sub, for sure. In other words, a Green Demon/Purple Demon Two Pack is NOT something I want the $50 slot in 2013 to be (I'm crossing my fingers it's Horde Troopers or Rokkon & Stonedar). But if it were a thing like Granamyr that came out in like November 2013 for $50 and they had some mini-comic-centric accessories thrown in... sign me up!

I hate to repeat myself.
This two pack will be the cheapest and easiest to produce because we need only 5 new molds:
1. The head of the Green Demon
2. The head of the Red Demon
3. The head of the first goblin
4. The head of the second goblin
5. A little body of a goblin.

I'd suggest added horns for the green one's shoulders. They could be reused on a Ceratus!
