Where did Zealot appear in?
I haven't been reading DC for a while, after New 52 issues 1# actually, but I just got to know through Newsarama this:
C'mon! That's plain cheap, dumb and goes against everything the character is. And they drop that bomb 35 days before the movie????
Seriously, who is the editor consultant that allow these plotlines?
Great trade orgers: Son of Keldor - sdilks -JeMaBo2 x3 - Kowl - Bigassbuzz (Hyveofvillany) - Queen Marlena - mikescab
My feedback thread
I haven't read this thread in eons and am not sure if anyone has mentioned this already: DC needs to quit while they're ahead. Go ahead and pull a "Heroes Reborn" i.e. undo the New 52 and incorporate the interesting aspects that came about.
I'm not sure what's wrong with it. Its not a new character - its a reintroduction of one from the 70s (at least it appears to be).
The youngest son of Thomas and Martha Wayne (though one account claims he was actually the eldest), Thomas Wayne, Jr. suffered severe head injuries when he was struck by a car as a young child. He was confined to a mental institution, Willowood Asylum, for life but eventually escaped and was coerced into becoming an assassin called the Boomerang Killer. Batman, in reality Thomas's brother Bruce, learned of his existence and stopped him, also learning the identity of the man behind the killings. Later, Deadman seized control of Thomas's body and used it to resume his career as an acrobat. Batman, upon locating his brother, demanded that Deadman release him but, upon being freed, Thomas ended up impulsively taking a bullet intended for his brother, saving Bruce's life at the cost of his own.
This version of Thomas Wayne, Jr. (Earth-One), including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the Multiverse in the 1985-86 Crisis on Infinite Earths limited series and is now considered apocryphal.
First Appearance: World's Finest Comics #223 (May-June 1974)
Good News & Bad News for this DCU fan...
The Good News...they are bringing back Blue Devil, one of my favorite DC characters of all time.
The Bad News...he's getting his very own crappy redesign(IMHO that is).

That looks.....um.....
Well, at least I can tell who it is. That's something, right?![]()
"That's very interesting...but silly." - Man-At-Arms
So Blue Devil went from being a fun character about a stuntman stuck in a movie costume to a "real" demon whose sidekick was killed after becoming a demon himself to now something that looks like a cross between Nightcrawler & something that would turn Clive Barker on.![]()
He also looks like one of the less backgroundy Red Lantern or Sinestro Corps members.
Or
One of those fan art pieces from some wangsty teen everything needs to be grim and gritty. With a followup piece he is decapitating someone just to show how vicious he is.
Jim Lee I think it's time for a nap man.
One Gum Drop to rule them all, One Gum Drop to find them,
One Gum Drop to bring them all and in the sweetness bind them
In the Land of Candy where the Gingerbreads lie.

There are sentences I should just stay a way from. - The Doctor
Rob Liefeld isn't a comic artist, he's a women's clothing designer. Think about it
I agree. DC went from being a nice alternative to Marvel's "realistic, grim & gritty" universe to something just as bad if not worse. I think Jim Lee is a good artist, but he stinks when it comes to costume designs. Although, technically, this sketch was done by Brett Booth, but, based on his New 52 designs, I doubt I'd like Jim Lee's any better if he did make it.
I've lost interest in almost the entire New 52 at this point.
I like the new reboot (New 52)
Well I like Blue Beetle and Legion of Superheroes and that is enough for me![]()
Does anyone know when Straczynski's next Earth One book is coming out? It has been a year since Superman was released.
What does Straczynski have to do with Batman: Earth 1?
It did come out this week.
Unfortunately, IMO, it was kind of awful.
Yeah, if Straczynski has nothing to do with it, I am not interested. That is odd though, as they said he was going to be doing all of the Earth 1s. Is he still going to do Wonder Woman?
