All the talk of it not really being a "reboot" makes me think its a planned short-term event that will spin out of (the so far awful) Flashpoint. With Flashpoint ending with the world "fixed", but Barry will eventually start to see the differences and reset things in ~1 year or so.
Kind of like a company-wide version of "Heroes Reborn", and with Flash in the Franklin Richards role.
It's possible BCI Guy. I've heard the theory that they're creating an all-new 'extra' main Universe as well.
Sort of like Marve's Ultimate line of books. So basically, after the first year, this line would shrink down from 52 books to a handful of core books, suitable for new readers.
With that said, THIS just made my day:

![]()
And a whole lot of this:
Apparently there is going to be a "Batwing" book too:
Grant Morrison on Batman Inc:
"Batman, Incorporated will continue through to Issue #10 and August's shocking season finale that changes the Batman status quo yet again. The series will take a brief hiatus while I work on a major new project to be announced shortly. Batman, Incorporated returns next year with me, Chris Burnham and Batman: Leviathan, the epic 12 part conclusion to my 6 year Batman saga. Don't miss it!"
Yeah. Pretty much sounds like Grant is saying the reboot is temporary.

Well, that whole "This isn't a reboot" arguement has been completely disproven with Damian Wayne as Robin. Obviously, this is a reboot and the powers that be are just picking and choosing what they want the status of the DCU to be. I love the idea of getting Barbara Gordon back as Batgirl, but kinda hate to see Oracle go, not to mention the Lois and Clark marriage. If they really were just going back in time and making everyone younger, Damian would be like five years old or would maybe not even exist yet.
Also, their claims for diversity have proven hollow. You have Mr. Terrific headlining ONE book, John Stewart and Jason Rusch co_starring in books and Batwoman representing for the GLBT aspect. There are only, what 20-some books to be revealed? And you know Superman is getting four of those....
Also, knowing four of the Teen Titans are white, I'm pretty sure Aqualad will be among them as well as GREEN Miss Martian.
BEST NEWS I'VE HEARD ALL DAY- MORRISON IS FINALLY LEAVING BATMAN! No more twisty-turny-upside down- backwards storytelling or refrences to obscure pre-crisis events/characters that cause readers to search through wikipedia to make any sense of who they are (which has caused me to give up reading Batman all together.)

If it were a total reboot, would not Richard Grayson be Robin, and there would be no Nightwing, Batwoman, Red Robin, Batwing, et. al.?
I think it has something to do with the Flashpoint story, and probably is a temporary thing, especially if it tanks.

"Amazing love; how could it be?
That You, my King, should die for me?"

Wow...3 issues in the can by August 31st? I see alot of sleepless nights for Jim Lee (IF he's privy to his own rules), George Perez, David Finch and Brett Booth. I love their work, but all of that detail comes with a speed price.
I wonder if Val is affected in anyway by this.

Lemire confirmed on Twitter that Alberto Ponticelli would be drawing Frankenstein.
Perfect artist for the book.
New pics are up in that comicbookresources.com link! VOODOO from WildCATS has a book out! No Al Rio this time...
There is also Resurrection Man#1 and Vampire#1.
I think the strategy "throw it to the wall and see what sticks" is what DC is doing. If sales droop, then the books can end at the end of the first story arc.

No. Its basically Frankenstein from Morrison's Seven Soldiers. Shade is an acronym for Super Human Advanced Defense Executive
I believe DC only puts out around 30 some monthlies at the present time, so to get to 52 will take adding a bunch. This is cool and all, but how many of these can we honestly expect to be ongoing series?
Some of these (probably the ones I like) have to minis, right?
But since I don't expect this to last, I kind of am just assuming they're all technically miniseries. I think if some of the books REALLY take off, they may stay as "alternate reality" or "Marvel Universe" style books when things go back to normal.
Resurrection Man was a great comic.
Interesting that Voodoo is crossing over. That makes me think the 4th woman on the cover of Birds of Prey may be Rose Tattoo from The Authority.

A journey that began long ago in a place neither near nor far…
A story of heroes, passed down through the ages…
Until now.
This is our story. These are our heroes…
