MOTUC: Mega Armour Skeletor

The Standard Battle Armour wasn't enough so Skeletor used the Dark Arts to upgrade his armour. No longer does he need to worry about his exposed skin being sliced by the Sword of Power










Recipe:
Head, torso, pelvis and armour - BA Skeletor
Arms, legs and shins - King Hiss
Feet - Hordak

I used the Hunter Knight method to slice-shoulder-swap hiss's shoulders onto BA Skel's body. The shoulder plate things have a different sized hole in them which ment alot of messing around to get them on.

Base-coated purple with metalic purple dry brushed on.

I also dremmeled his inner thigh area so he can stand with his feet together

It doesn't sound like much work all-up but it was!

I considered dremmeling the sides of his armour so his arms won't stick out so much but I'm not brave enough at this stage. I also considered doing a helmet which I'll post if I ever bother to do but other customs are calling...

I'm looking forward to a future Terror Claw Skeletor to put the claws on too

That's brilliant! And the Hordak feet are a great extra touch. They work perfectly. This whole thing works incredibly well.

Nice job on the execution too, it's excellent. I think this is really, really cool.

I like this a lot. The use of the Hssss body for a suit of armor is brilliant and something I might have to steal at some point in the future. Very well done.

I like the idea of a fully-armored warrior. It always seemed silly to go on about battle armor when most of the body was still left bare. Awesome job!!

It's not KK I've been slowly working in Sahak (a bootleg character). He's been in development hell So he could be a way off yet

I think I'd like him more with black boots and gloves as to break up all that purple, but awesome regardless!

I did photoshop some different colour options, black being the additional/replacement colour to the purple and metalic purple. It looked ok but seemed less Skeletor to me. One of my vague ideas is that Skelly is in his battle armour and when he upgrades to mega armour his skin actually turns into the armour, hence the purple shin armour (like usual) and metalic feet. Now that I type that I realize that BA Skelly has "boots" so my logic is flawed

I'll try to post some of the colours ideas I didn't use.

If you ever get around to doing that helmet, maybe you can copy the design from the 200x bat flight pack. It came with a removable helmet that you could plop into skelly's head or... taking another cue from 200x, there's always that snake armor skeletor (the one that came in the 2 pack with the wolf armor he-man) that had an interesting design, minus that weird parascope snake on the top of his head lol

Or even a Keldor inspired mask, since that's the face he would logically use to cover his boney visage, all chromed like the immortals or something!

Not that I'm good enough to make it but that's where my mind travels when thinking about the concept
