The Power and The Honor Foundation - Original MOTU Art Preservation

The Power and The Honor Foundation is here! It is with great pleasure that we are able to share this exciting new adventure with you, the fans of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and She-Ra Princess of Power.

The Power and The Honor Foundation is a fan-funded, non-profit organization that is dedicated to documenting, archiving, and sharing the rich history of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and She-Ra Princess of Power. As such, we will be sharing some of the most amazing collections of artwork, documents, and toys from their earliest days.

The Foundation has already secured thousands of pieces from original artists and designers from Mattel and Filmation. In addition to the pieces themselves, we will share their stories to further document the creation and evolution of the characters, toys, cartoons, and merchandise.

Please make sure to visit our website and follow us on Twitter and Facebook. We have some exciting ways of sharing this artwork with the fans and will keep you updated.

    VERY awesome!
    I've "liked" it for sure.

MOTU and POP were some of the last great eras of great animation, packaging and hand-designed artwork. I'm glad someone is helping to preserve it!

    Can't say I blame them.
People take artwork like this all the time and try to make a buck with it, or use it on their own site without permission.
I'm sure you can thank those people for the watermarks.

The watermarks don't bother me too much.

I cannot wait to see what else is in store, especially in the POP department.

This sounds like fun. I am curious though, who are the people who funded this non-profit organization? Clearly someone wanted it (heck, I am for it), but was it corporate, some fans, weird 80's trend buffs? What promts a group to begin this process? I only ask because I wouldn't want the brand cheapened by some schemed up way to make a buck.

I'm 100% sure that isn't the motive. I think it's fans who genuinely want to share these treasures with other fans.

    This is totally serious.
They are fans and collectors like us, actually big fans and collector!
I have faith in this project and the plans I heard ,and personally, I can't wait!

They are legit. They asked me for some historical info on stuff a while back. From what I gather, it's some hardcore collectors who are looking to preserve a whole bunch of awesome artwork. Sorta like a museum archive or the like.

And they will be at Power-Con. They are loaning us a lot of kick butt art to put on display for people to see.
They are going to have a table with info about their foundation.

Power and Honor Foundation Catalogue Vol. 1

    Hi guys,

I wonder how many of you ordered the Power and Honor Foundation Catalogue? I have done so and cannot await the shipment. Should be in the next weeks or so I guess ...

For those who don't know, is a hardcover, full-color, 160-page catalog that features over 250 never-before-seen images along with an informative narrative and a foreword by Mark Taylor.

    Here are some sample-pages:

Does the foundation send their book international?

    Edit:

    ^ Yes, that.

So, to refrain from making any shady comments like 'torrent plz?', what can a fan from Europe do to get their hands on the official book and support the cause? If there is nothing, would it be too insane to expect some sort of share in the form of e.g. watermarked/bad quality scans or anything? Or does one just need to swallow the bad pill and try to be happy for everyone else?

Too bad i didnt get Emiliano to sign it He always looked to busy for me to bug him

Hope we get a Vol 2 next year!
