MOTUC Vacation Skeletor Project

This is the MOTUC version of the Flat Stanley Project

Basically we will take a MOTUC figure and send it around the world to all the interested board members. Those members will take some pictures with the MOTUC figure then send it on the the next person. They will then post the pictures on the forum.

That's funny you mention this, TheFallen! When He-Ro was released, I was playing around with the idea of Flat-Stanleying him! I was going to create a short story-comic (which I already have in my head ) and everyone it was sent to would take pics of him in their local areas, and sign a little guest book thing. When he made it back, I'd finish the story off! I was just trying to figure out the logistics of it.

So, yeah, I'd be up for one of these!

Anyway, I would love to participate... I can take the figure to Broadway or any number of various NYC places... it's going to be tricky choosing which one.

This is an awesome idea! I was just thinking it'd be fun to see where everyone else lived. We all come from so many different places around the world and it would be interesting to sort of "sight see" via pictures. I'm totally in!

Statue of Liberty would be good because you could do a scene with the statue if you scale the picture properly LOL

It would require an entire day. I do perform there once a year, but we already did that a few weeks ago

EDIT: The more I think about it, I may have an extra He-Man that I could offer up for this. The idea would be lots of fun. I'm waiting for someone else to offer something better, but I'm down with the Tourist He-Man, or Tourist Skeletor! God knows I've got tons of Skeletors....

I am in Australia so this thing would be world wide. I don't know if this statement is correct, but to me it seems there are way more International fans here than on some other boards.

I will have a spare Mo-Larr buck (no jacket) coming soon but I don't have very good customizing skills. I am quite willing to pay a fellow customizer to create our "Flat Stanley" if no one wants to volunteer their services.

There seems to be a fair bit of enthusiasm which is good. I will keep updating the first post as more people become interested. If you ever change your mind I can remove you from the list.

The only downside I can see is when it comes to delivering the figure to the next person so I have some questions to ask.

Would you prefer;

• To pay for deliver of the figure to the next person?
• The next person to pay their own delivery?
• The figure in a padded envelope?
• The figure in a box?
• A hardcopy journal?
• A .org thread journal?

I have two "toothless" Skeletors, as well as a few others. Would Skelly in a beach shirt be funnier as the subject, or He-Man? Don't waste your Mo-Larr buck body on this since he was so expensive. I bought two, and I have a spare head of Mo-Larr which could be funny.

The fig should definitely be delivered in a box. The thread journal makes the most sense, because the idea is to post pics of him in various places.

So, who's the better subject:

I thought the next person could pay delivery for the cases where the figure has to go to an International destination unless this is not really an issue for everyone.

Shipping a MOC figure from mattycollector to here costs me $10 so it shouldn't be much for a loose figure.
