MOTUC Visions: new male body types 1 - Ram Man - Tataran

It has been a looong time!
But since some other things are back to normal, why not reposting here some of the stuff I started posting on my facebook account?

Some time ago I promised I would have posted some ideas about how to create more reusable body types for MOTUC figures and show how to make a good use of them.
Just to explain better how the concept behind a line like MOTUC works, where a bank of tooling is created to work as a basis for figures, makign the line economically doable.

I sketched two new body types.
The first is a squat body.
Instead of creating a new sculpt for Ram-Man that is unique only to him, Rammy could be developed as the first figure using this new Squat Body type.
Eventually other characters could reuse it, and here is an example with General Tataran.

The other body type is the Teen/Slim type.
In the following weeks I'll post examples of figure that could use that too

Since other asked previously: this isn't work done for Mattel or the Four Horsemen, it's just fan art that I do between real toy design jobs for Hasbro.

So you're thinking that the arms and legs would have to be redone in a "beefier" style, too?

Yes, that's the idea, Leech doens't count, it's still based on the regular body, with just a slightly larger torso, the rest is the same on him.

Ah, I see. Do you think that it's possible that they will still use the Leech torso for Ram Man? Or is all the detail sculpted directly on it making it only usable for that figure?

I was under the impression that it was softer armor, like King Hiss, covering a new bulkier buck that could be used with other figures.

It's neat to see stuff like this, but I'm hoping that for his MOTUC figure they design him so he looks more like his original mini-comic representation, because I really hate the Filmation design (especially the face) and characterization of him. But as far as an example of what a classic cartoon-inspired MOTUC Ram Man figure could look like, it's very spot-on!

I love those designs! Superb! Admittedly would i like my Ram Man come a little less Filmation and a little bit more Minicomic. Nevertheless he looks awesome !

I can see Ahgo King of Trolls on Etheria also using that thicker buck. Too bad they've done Leech already, he could have used it too.

The teenager is perfect for 200X Adam, Stanlan, Prince Dal, Prince Leon (admittedly aging him up a big), and possibly new characters too. You could probably use it to get some withered old guys like Vormus and Master Sebrian as well, right?
