IIRC there is a vintage MOTU toy concept similar to dial-a-mug.
Dial-a-mug is one of my most anticipated Horde figures in Classics. He only appeared in a few episodes of She-Ra, but in every episode Dial-a-mug stole the show with his self-importance and ridiculousness.
Adding Dial-a-mug to Classics is dependant on Filmation rights, but I think a figure of the Horde robot would have a lot of playability for collectors. I imagine the 4H could design his face using the snap-in feature that is used on the Battle Armor and the Palace Guard's armor.
What do you all think? Would you like to see Dial-a-mug in Classics?

Toyguru, read this: The Rebellion needs Glimmer!! I NEED Glimmer!! Pretty Please?
I've never liked Dial-a-mug. And if his classics version looked anything like the Filmation version, I'd pass.
I have no idea who he is? Can't remeber him in the show?

He was called Dylamug in the She-ra cartoon:
Here's Mattel's sketch for a "Dial-a-Mug" figure:
It's pretty much Marvel's Arnim Zola turned into a MotU character.![]()
"Why's Dragstor riding on Night Stalker?" "Cause he can."
I want him. It would be cool if he came with different face panels so you could change his facial expressions.

One of my biggest Filmation wants! He would make a SWEET figure. Just imagine a big hunk of plastic Horde robot!
WANT!!!

BLÅÇK FLØWËRŠ!!!!
no, just dont want him. kinda cool, but dont feel he deserves a figure or that he belongs in motu. sorry i do like him more that i seen the filmation. but you got to be selective with a collection this big & expensive. there are a lot better characters in motu that deserve a spot as figures.
Ha! Are those vacuum tubes on his head? Way to keep with the times, Hordak! Sure, I'd be up for him just because of how ridiculous he looks.

Alexx has a blog?! Come on in and check out Toys and Tomfoolery! You won't regret it...until the next morning.
Ahhh yes I remember him. I'd love a figure of him.

The text says (slight paraphasing to make the sentence make sense):
"Lou Scheimer productions obviously took another concept. The never produced figure (left) was inspiracton for a Horde character, "Dylamug", who appeared in three episodes of She-Ra".
Sir Reilly,
Thanks for the photos! I'd forgotten how different the Mattel sketch was from the Cartoon. Maybe if a Dial-a-mug figure got made, he could get a D-list variant down the road.
Would love to have a dial a mug. In fact im happy to have any figures never released before.
Evil Army of the Horde!!
Never been a fan of Dylamug in the POP cartoon or the Mattel figure sketch so I wouldn't be interested in this character.

As much as he doesn't interest me hugely I couldn't "not" buy him if he was in MOTUC. I love this line so much!
We don't need no education...
Yes you do, you've just used a double negative!
Dylamug was one of those characters I always found ridiculous and lame. I don't plan to buy a figure of that character. But hey, if they make one, I'm glad for those who want him and who'll have him.
Just hoping Dylamug won't be released before 2018, anyway. There are many more interesting characters to be released first...

He's awesome in that he makes me laugh. He would be great to have as a toy, but he would never be one of the characters I look at and think 'Man that figure looks cool'.
END OF LINE
Regardless of people's mixed feelings about him in this thread, I think if the 4H sculpted him, fans would buy him. Besides, Dylamug is pretty awesome...if not one of the strangest characters created. I purchased an animation cel of him with Grizzlor, Mantenna, Leech, and Shadow Weaver. Hope to see him in the line at some point!

I always thought of Dylumug as a general. I like to think of him as the master controller of all Horde Troopers, taking orders only from Hordak and Horde Prime. It would give him great importance in the ranks of the Horde, and although he was potrayed as a buffon in most other episodes beside "Duel of Devlan", I think he is a much more powerful character then he was shown. I would love a MOTUC version of him, I think the 4H would do an amazing rendition of him.
Dylamug one of my top Filmation figures that I want! The concept sketch not so much.
With Filmation now available where does Dylamug fit in do more people want him now? i know he would be an entire 100% new sculpt with no reusable parts.
if its horde i want it!

Looks a lot like Arnim Zola

Pass on this. I'd rather Classics figures of characters that had figures first.
