Also picked up these two recently:

Flash's right ear was on crooked, so I peeled it off and glued it back on correctly. Damn Chinese kids are slacking on my toys!
Hey, if you want to wallow in the negative, go nuts. Sure, things aren’t absolutely perfect, and people passionate about a property can get all keyed up about things. But I don’t collect toys to be miserable. So I’d rather think about the things that do excite me

Did you ever have a total random toy collecting day??
Today was that day for me...

These are my first MLP Blind bag figures & I figured if i was going to get them i was going to get the cool ones!
Flim & Flam & the Griffin (i already forget her name).
I wish i was as good at Lego minifigure feeling as i seem to be at MLP i bought 4 and ended up with the 3 i wanted!

    Next up...
    Dr. Who 11Doctor box set.
Never collected anything Dr. Who and really am inly familiar with the 4th & 11th Doctors...
BUT i just feel in love with this set!
I love the look of them, the diversity...i just love love love this!
Now i want to get the other minifigures to round out the collection.

Not really a haul but I got 10 pounds of bacon for $20 at one of the area IGA stores. Our local IGA was asking double that but I passed by another yesterday which had better prices. Not sure how long it'll take me to consume that much food, but it was cheap and should last a sufficient amount of time.

I also got some plastic bowls, which turned upside down make for useful display risers. Plus I got my recent vintage turtle plush in the mail.

I might grab another HK beanie, I have to browse Amazon for a new floor vent register for my kitchen floor, and I may need an item or 2 to add to get free shipping. I also have my eye on a couple of tiny plushes on eBay, though I'm not heavily buying toys now and I'm almost out of shelf space.

Got my replacement 6 x 12 floor register

    And a Domo plush

I also grabbed this Barbie as I need a suitable body for a custom project, and a 1:6 scale body and head would've cost a fortune. It'll need a hair reroot and the eyes painted.

Dio, where did the turtle picture in the back come from? That's a great element to your display!

An artist friend of mine did it. She's going to do drawings of the other turtles as well.

Snagged Transformers Generations Hoist, Trailbreaker ie. Trailcutter and the Beast Hunter Ultra Magnus, both of his arms had fallen off in the package, but were easily reattached. Found GI Joe Ultimate Cobra Commander too, he is awesome. Ordered Ultimate Storm Shadow and should have him by Tuesday.

My recent short drought of Silver Age Spider-Man comics ended today with the arrival of issue #21 (which features the 2nd appearance of the Beetle):

Where did you find Cobra Commander? My TRU has almost nothing from Joe and my Target literally has nothing.

My Kmart doesn't have any GI Joe stuff either.

But I did find these Quick Change robots at Tuesday Morning.

Thanks. I'll check my local Walmart. Unfortunately, they've been cutting back--probably because they're clearance aisle is bursting with product.

These Quick change robots aren't bad. They look pretty cheap in the package, but none of them are terrible.

If they're anything like my local Wal-mart, the stock is sitting there because the store refuses to drop the clearance price to one that will move the product. Here they have the Zatanna wave of DCUC that's been sitting in clearance for two and a half years, and have stubbornly kept them at $11.00 for two of those years. At least when Target puts something on clearance, they don't screw around.
Classics TGR figures should be Filmation-based, but they NEED MORE COWBELL!

Yeah, they are loaded with Spider-man 4" figures, flip-n-attacks, Bot Shots 3-packs, IM3 figures, "deluxe" Dark knight rises figures, etc,.

Man, could there be worse any worse products to be loaded up with??

My Walmart had a Cobra Commander, but it wasn't the right one.

I picked up some turtle slime and an Air Vehicon at Target.

First good Cyberverse figure in like 6 months.

Those Transformers G1 combiners are usually not too bad, just watch out for Superion and Devastator- their original toys were a bit flimsy to start with and KO quality doesn't help them. Shame that the Menasor and Abominus sets are almost never sold in the US discount stores but the Defensor and Bruticus sets are neat enough and not too bad in terms of quality.

I'm pretty happy with this. The plastic is of fairly good quality. They are solid except for maybe Streetwise (police car). They are colorful and have some nice paint apps. The firetruck (Hot Spot) is big and solid. Even the motorcycle is nice. They are definitely not perfect, of course, but considering the $8 price.....

One problem I had is he is supposed to have another piece of armor above the thighs. But I haven't been able to get it on. That's ok. He looks fine as is.

Found a Vinyl player that can record records into MP3 at a pawn shop for $40 and couldn't pass it up. So today we went to a vintage record store and I scored the Thriller album, original Star Wars soundtrack album, original Superman Soundtrack album, and my favorite. ...the super hard to find Star Wars Disco album! (That's sarcasm btw but it's still awesome) A good day indeed!

I love my vinyl, I love it more than any CD or MP3, and I love that a lot of bands still release albums on it. I don't have a USB player, but I hook my Record player to my ....late 80's / early 90's....cough, Receiver and directly to my computer. Comes out really nice sounding....and I learned of a way to clean records with Elmer's wood glue. Works great.

    - - - Updated - - -

I recently pulled in a Transformers Generation Blaster, but before that I scored a TRU Hasbro MP Soundwave MISB, and Metroplex, along with Trail(breaker)cutter, Blaster's disc buddy 4-pack from Takara, Legends Starscream & Bumblebee, and Voyagers Sandstorm, Springer and Blitzwing. I'm waiting on Hoist now, and MP Prowl to come into BBTS this month.

Also Star Wars Black 6" R2D2, Darth Maul & Sandtrooper.

I'm also going to get those basic TMNT figures of the 4 main Turtles, and debating those Storage Shell ones....damn they're huge. Also some of the reissues of TMNT.
    Recent....Flogg
    Coming....
Wanted....Entrapa, Light Hope, (A real) Filmation Hordak & Clawful
    Considering....
    Needed....Dragstor

Oh man, did I forget to use these [sarcasm][/sarcasm] again? Sorry....

It's that time again! Time to stand in an isle and feel up lego packages hoping not to get slapped with a lawsuit for inappropriate touching of toybags. I swear officer, it was just to feel those SWEET PARTS. But seriously: It's annoying, but I still do it. It's most annoying, though, when I need ONE MORE GUY and I gotta keep feeling up every batch I find just to find ONE. Where the heck is that evil robot?

So my past posts showed that I had finally succumbed to the allure of Imaginext, and my wife noticed as well. So she got some junk for me for our preliminary anniversary (when we met. We also celebrate the marriage one too). I LOVE THESE STUPID THINGS. So simple! Yet they have it all - dinosaurs, robots, ninjas, skeletons; all of it. Hopefully I won't go too much farther than this. But I probably will, 'cause whenever we have a kid I'll have a nice buffer of items that I don't care about them touching.

Hey, I finally found the 6 inch Maul! He was pretty much the only one out of this new wave that interested me. I mean the Sandtrooper is nice, but I don't wana go whole-hog into these, so I wana wait for the normal Trooper. Anyway: neat figure! Could do with a less wobbly plastic for the saber handle, but it doesn't ruin things.

And last we have the elusive badguys in the TMNT line! I finally caught a full isle of TMNT stuff and found out why I have such trouble finding these two: Out of the completely full isle, THESE WERE THE ONLY TWO. One roach and one Rat King. That's it. I'm gona have a good time finding the newer ones, I just know it (especially those dang Mousers...).
