I just got the Young Injustice: Invasion Batman and put up a review of him: http://www.thepicreview.com/2013/06/...rom-young.html

It doesn't matter whether you collect older Kenner figures or the newer Mattel and DC Direct figures, the accessories on this guy are excellent. He comes with two batarangs, a gas grenade with a great gas effect, and a rooftop display base. It's really, really cool.

*Ok, guys- I've really been having trouble uploading pictures here on the org. I always get a message that my file type is invalid. It's listed as a JPG- what gives?*

TRU was havin' a buy one get one 50% off on Kreo, so I got this and a G.I. Joe set that someone had stolen the figures out of. I LOVE these combiner Kreos, but I almost think the Kreons themselves are pointless 'cause the combined figure is so much fun! I just don't think I'm ever gona take them apart into thier components.

My friends and I had gotten into a Star Trek mood recently and are watching through the old movies. This got me to thinking that there are probably some products out there of the various ships, so I treked into the car isle that I so rarely venture into. Sadly...no ships. BUT...they were clearancing these little motorcycles with marvel themes! I bought the one with DOOM on it, for the DOOM COLLECTION. It was a two pack so I also got a Ghost Rider themed one. Which...isn't really "themed" so much like the others, since he already rides a motorcycle and this is pretty much just his cycle. Doesn't matter 'cause I know it'll get tossed somewhere and possibly lost.

This is from that Target exclusive line based on the Brave and the Bold molds. I saw Luthor on the back of the packages months ago but he was never on the pegs. Just found him today! Probably won't get anything else from the line - I just love Luthor in his goofy pick-me-out-at-a-distance armor. Also, if you repainted him he'd make a pretty convincing Sigma from Mega Man X!

...only complaint is that they seemed to have scavenged some random armor part from some other figure from the Brave and the Bold toyline and just shoved it on his hand. Not even a hole in his arm so that is at least blended in with the design. Nope...just holding a peice of metal with some missiles on it.

Yeah...found these two, and also found out that you only need three figures to build Hit Monkey, so I figured: what the heck? I have no attachment to any of them; not even Hit Monkey. But come on...monkey in a suit with sunglasses and guns. Who needs background? The two accessories though...eh. Hyperion has been talked about a lot, so I know his name and a tiny bit about him. The wikipedia article is broken up into apparently various versions of him where he's either a good guy or a bad guy? I guess.

The other guy is a problem 'cause (like Hyperion) he didn't have his name on the package. I mean there are SO many superheros I know that the names don't need to be on the package. I don't need to know that it's CRIME STOPPER SPIDER-MAN WITH STOPPER MISSILE AND CLAWS or whatever, I mean...it's Spider-Man. But this guy? Kinda need a name...I don't think he can live on just the visage. A friend pointed out that he is Protector...which doesn't get you much on a google search. Best I can gather is a tiny article on wikipedia that I'm not even sure is him. One thing I can tell from the package is that he is a "Warrior of the Mind" and that WHOA HE COMES WITH HIT MONKEY PARTS LOOK LOOK LOOK which makes him seem more like an accessory to Hit Monkey. Which he is. For me.

Anyway, he's pretty much useless on all angles save for the look. He looks cool. Otherwise, he's nameless, generic, and his hands are useless except for pointing the guns down (right hand) and down and sideways (left hand). Can barely fit any other accessories in there to at least make him more interesting. Anyone want him? Otherwise I'ma see if the local comic shop'll gimme a buck for him or something.

AND BATMAN. Now THIS is a guy whose name doesn't need to be on the package! Maybe just put "on steroids" on the bottom to have it make sense. I'm just calling him MotUC Batman, or "that one from my Dad's comic that I used to flip through before I could fully read."

I picked up a '86 GI*JOE Roadblock (version 2) at a loal comic shop for $3. He has no accessories but is in perfect shape so I couldn't pass him up for the price.

WalGreens had 3 of these left over from Christmas, and the manager gave me 75% off, so it was only $13.33 out the door! I'm so excited about it! It's tons of fun, and if i can find my MEGADRIVE games, it will play those TOO. It's so much fun playing Sega games on a 37" Flat Screen, which i've NEVER done before. It has GOLDEN AXE III, which has NEVER sold in the USA (in hard copy) before! But, my love is for GAIRES, and other shoot'em-ups!

    GUESS WHAT CAME TODAY????

that's RIGHT! Universal Game Cases! And some DVD cases for Disc Games...because CLEAR is BETTER!

The NEW one on the left are much clearer than the older ones on the right. Could it be from age, or just improvements in manufacturing?

Good thing I went to Office Max yesterday to print about 20 UGC cases, and a few PSONE cases for the DVD cases..
Some SNES I just put in the new cases, Phalanx(I hate the USA cover), and Brawl Brothers

    Kool-Aid Man in UGC

OOoooohhh....that's some cool stuff! I didn't know there were universal game cases! I had my PS1, 2, 3, and various other CD games on display on the shelves, but the SNES stuff I recently put in plastic bins 'cause they just don't look right on the shelves with everything else (plus, not all of them have the dust-protector thingy on the bottom). 'Course I don't have boxes for any of them (pretty much got everything second-hand over the years) and these look cool! How'd you get the cover slips to put on them as well?

(Oh, and cool Phalanx box! I never checked that one out back in the day 'cause of the stupid cover. Never even knew it was a SHMUP.)

Vintage games are something I gave up on collecting. Hardware is getting rarer, with exception they usually don't display well on modern TVs, and I don't feel like paying collector prices for used games when an emulator can display it better on my PC than it ever looked on a TV. Not getting into a piracy argument either but an emulator and ROMs also take up a flash drive worth of space instead of shelves and drawers, and when 90% of the games you find locally are sports games and copies of SMB/Duck Hunt or Sonic 2 with worn labels it's discouraging.

That's a pretty great system for $13. It looks like it lets you use an actual Genesis controller. I still have the goofy Arcade motion by AtGames. It's basically an emulator with an SD slot and Wii like controllers.

Golden axe 3 is a great game. I was never able to get a cartridge for my collection But it was available on the PS2 (which I have).

yeah, it's so cool to play these again...and on a HUGE screen. I just got a HUGE 37" TV from my mom because she moved, and while I was rabid about Laserdisc to play on it, I'm ramping up about video games on it.

I went to Toys R Us today and bought some Trash Pack items. I got some Wave 3 Trashies, some UFT Trashies, and some of the new Trash Pack Trash Wheels, which are really cool! They are kind of a mix between Micro-Machines and Trash pack.

Still finding some Thor movie figures at my 5 Below. Hoping they got more to put out. Still a few more figures I'm lacking.

June 28th , '73 : FoF german premiere , Big Boss had already played since mid April '73......Bruce war zuruck !

    I got in Hasbro's G.I. Joe Tomahawk re-release today, re-named the Eaglehawk:

Not too crazy about the Lift Ticket figure included with the helicopter. Even though I have a mint and complete vintage Lift Ticket, I'll probably buy another one and some more vintage Joes to fill out the copter.

Me too. Old school games come out on PSN, XBox Live or the Virtual Console nowadays. No more dusting off old systems and cartridges and hope they still play.

    It's a drought at retail.

Nothing new for DCUC. Just loads of either New 52 Batman, Injustice Batman or Planet X Batman pegwarming shelves. Marvel Universe has Nighthawk pegwarming, along with Gladiator, Punisher, Beast and She-Hulk. And Transformers CHUG is a wait until Metroplex, Trailcutter and Hoist come out.

    At least I can save...

There's a big difference between being a vintage game player and being a vintage game collector. But even as a collector, you reach the point where you have too many games to play. At which point it's all about the thrill of the hunt

I got in Marvel Select Ghost Rider (can't believe I didn't get him the first time around but luckily BBTS re-stocked him recently):

And I got the latest releases from iGear - Bushwacker (a.k.a. Outback), Duneraker (a.k.a. Beachcomber), Veer (a.k.a. Swerve), and Cogz (a.k.a. Gears):

I love the ability to switch and display these guys between G1 cartoon accurate faces or vintage toy faces.
