yes! i knew something was off but i couldn't put my finger on it. it's the eyes. he still looks good though...

i wonder if the variance is significant enough to warrant a repaint down the line. if they ever do a repaint though, i hope they use the tan color of the vintage figure rather than the neon orange of the 200X one. people often reference the "orange jumpsuit" now but i never thought he looked orange until his 200X figure came out.

1) Based on every person who was at SDCC that I've talked to, Flocked Panthor won; we got Non-Flocked.

2) Half & Half Man-E-Faces won; what we get is closer to Cardback imo.

3) Royal Swiftwind won; I hope everyone will be OK with this...

Maybe my brightness/contrast needs to be adjusted on my monitor, but he looks half-and-half to me in the latest set of pics that Dan posted. There's a hint of orange to him, so it looks closer to the prototype NYTF figure, imo.

Anyhow, I think he looks pretty awesome.

1. I love Man-E.

2. Colours turned out super cool. I was all flesh in the beginning anyway. Thanx for that. I never liked the orange but maybe a chance for the DC/MOTUC 2-Pack.

3. The dial should have been all purple, but I can fix that myself.

4. Yes, shading would have been nice.

5. I think the secret acc. is either his club or a second three-faces head!

I don't know why, but the way the helmet attaches is reminding me of Hydron.

Thank you, Dan, for posting these pics! They're great shots.

I like the paler skin tone a lot. It makes it easier to customize a true card-back version. All that's needed is dark blue paint over the purple parts.

I'm disappointed in the figure

and I am usually pleased with every figure.

The faces ate obscured by the opening in the helmet being too small, and the knob is not flush with the helmet.

Picky? You bet. This is a $20 figure. Over $30 with tax and shipping. Both the $4/$5 vintage and the $9/$12 200X figures had beautifully designed/executed helmets/knobs.

This is inexcusable in a way, especially considering the rumor that Man-E was redone to incorporate his action feature. I just wish the details I mentioned had been sorted out

The rest of the figure is beautiful though.

Man-E-Faces helmet "window" obscures his face. Maybe if it were slightly wider...

I agree about the white eyes help to make the face seem less shadowy. Thank goodness you can swap heads in this line, so if we get another MEF repaint, we can get the white eyes.

If he were pale, he would be lighter. If they went with original colors, he would be orange. This IS half and half.

Another vintage figure that I owned and am glad to have again in MOTUC. Of course, I will be keeping him in monster mode (or robot...but mainly monster) like I did as a kid. I will join the throng in saying that his secret accessory will be the more predictable additional faces. Or something completely unpredictable like a psychiatrist bill treating his multiple personality disorder and a lunch date with Zartan.

That is an effect of the lighting of the image. you can see on the chest that the left side of the image is not a brightly lit as the right.

I have to say, I really REALLY hate how the human head looks. The black eyes totally ruin it for me... he looks better in the classic and 2002 line with the white eyes. Also, his features look really... stretched out or something. The robot and monster faces look great, but I'm pretty disappointed in how his human form turned out. But I am happy with the very light skin tone... so it's win some/lose some for me with this guy.
