Yep, we're all caught up! This the last one before SDCC, where Scott comes on to give a heads up on what to watch out for at the convention.

I didn't really catch it until I edited it, but Scott dropped two VERY major hints in this podcast in a very cleverly disguised way. I'm even more excited now.

Man, it really sucks that Mattel can't do some of the concept characters from Tomart's, like the witch, mummy etc., unless they have the documents in their possession. Hopefully the Power and Honor Foundation has something on those characters.

On a completely unrelated note: Who could be at the Mattel booth for signing that could realted to the MOTUC anouncements? OR: How can the announcement be related to a specific person?

I have a gut feeling that the Club Eternia Exclusive for 2012 is Shadow Weaver. I could see that happening with all the people who claimed that they were going to drop their subs this year. Toyguru said fans were going to be pleased with the announcements, so that probably all but confirms the Filmation Rights as an announcement.

If it isn't Shadow Weaver and we don't have the Filmation Rights, it could be Eldor or the Sorceress.

Regarding the changes to MOTUC because of the DC vc MOTU exclusives: Why did they have to plan to move TWO Classics figures to the beginning of 2012 in order to release ONE repaint later that year?

I'm scared to listen to this one several days before SDCC. I've been trying SO HARD to manage my expectations (Debbie Downer style!) for the past 2 months or so.

I know that's going to happen. Fans might be angry, but Mattel will ensure that MOTUC does extremely well for the next year by doing this. This might be critical for the brand--this coming year especially.

I'd better go stock up on popcorn.

Halfway thru this and Toyguru definitely has his Mattel shirt with the crazy question marks all over it on with his riddles/mind games.
