Batman DKR 6/6 , holy crap what a movie.....loved Bane and Catty , I don't think it's appropiate for those under 12 though , it was intense. I think this will be a classic in 20-30 yrs , similar to say Good Bad Ugly.

Skyfall 4.5/6 , on par with TSWLM or FYEO......pretty good. The problem with the Bonds is that they have to outdo/top each other and that's just not gonna happen every time.

    60s Bonds imo :

DN......where the foundation , the cement of the Bonds were laid
FRWL.....trying to be even more spectacular but still maintaining a fantastic script , Bond seems a lot more vulnerable here than in other Bonds
GF......in this one it really takes off , the Bondformula has now been established
TB......the HEIGHT of Bondmania , by this point it at times feels a bit routine with Connery going thru the motions
YOLT......now it's beginning to be too OTT and Connery is getting bored , Connery is fed up by the media frenzy and wants out
OHMSS.....again another fantastic script which helps rookie Laz tremendously , also Rigg is just not window dressing but a calibre actress. Hunt should def have directed more Bonds.

DAF.....don't blame Moore for the sillyness , this was the movie that started the mocking trend.....this is like a parody of a 007 film (and loooooooooong before mr Powers came along !) , it does have some clever dialogue though.

Yes Man 4/6 , all right comedy fea Carrey

Finding Neverland: Really good movie, though it has a sad ending.

Anyway, here is what I rank each Bond movie:

    1. Casino Royale
    2. From Russia with Love
    3. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
    4. Thunderball
    5. Live and Let Die
    6. Licence to Kill
    7. Dr No
    8. Goldfinger
    9. You Only Live Twice
    10. The Living Daylights
    11. Quantum of Solace
    12. Goldeneye
    13. The Man with the Golden Gun
    14. Dimaonds Are Forever
    15. For Your Eyes Only
    16. The Spy Who Loved Me
    17. Tomorrow Never Dies
    18. A View to a Kill
    19. Octopussy
    20. The World is Not Enough
    21. Die Another Day
    22. Moonraker
Can someone PM me the US number for Matty? I want to talk to someone who might has a clue of what is going on.

Saw Flight in the theater today. It was a pretty good movie, though I did take issue with a few things.
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
    For my unconquerable soul.

Skyfall, see my thoughts in the actual thread, but it was amazing. Best movie of 2012 thus far.

Saw Skyfall in the theater on Friday, loved it. Saw "9" (the animated film) and Prometheus yesterday, enjoyed both more than I expected to.

    OHMSS
DN (wonderful spy adventure with a dash of sci fi)
TLD (great script , the villains....not so much but all right)
    FRWL
LTK (very underrated and Sanchez was a great villain , some think that the plot is too Die Hard/Miami Vice with the drugs , I still thought it was cool)
    TB
    SF
FYEO (another underrated and imo Moore's best , Contis music is good......certainly more atmospheric than todays generic scores)
GF (good but I also find it overrated even though it established the formula)
TSWLM (wonderful style but the plot is a bit OTT even for Bond......still the GF of the 70s)
OP (this is unsung movie , no doubt , very good plot.......wonderful PTS)
YOLT (kinda stale , like TSWLM more about style than plot.....I dig it though)
AVTAK (Zorin was one of the best even though many didn't care much for plot......I thought it was decent and at least seems realistic afa Bond plots are concerned)
GE (never really warmed to Brosnan , the only good one he did was GoldenEye imo)
LALD (good opening for Moore but again more stunts than plot)
MR (minus the silly stuff I kinda dig it......it helps if you like sci fi , great locations)
    DAF (great dialogue at least)
TND (def a guilty pleasure , McD Bond)
TWINE (honestly I find this a chore to watch , I never cared for the oil industry or the villain/Bond girls)
    TMWTGG
    DAD

Gonna re-watch QoS again to form an opinion , I hated the editing though

Over the weekend I watched You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and Skyfall. So far, my revised rankings for Bond November 2012 stand as:

    1.You Only Live Twice 2.Goldfinger 3.Skyfall 4.Casino Royale 5.From Russia with Love 6.On Her Majesty's Secret Service 7.Quantum of Solace 8.Thunderball 9.Dr. No.

This week should finish out the Connery era and move into the Moore era. It'll be interesting as I haven't seen most of the Moore films since middle school.

Skyfall: Fun and action packed installment of the longest running franchise ver.

Muppet Christmas Carol on blu-ray: One of my fave christmas movies, saw this 2 times when it came out and i've been a muppets fan for a long time and this movie delivered.

Planes Trains and Automobiles on blu-ray: Awesome, funny and sad comedy i always loved since me and my family saw it in theaters 3 times when it came out and it still rocks but doesn't look bad in high def.

Princess Mononoke: Awesome animated movie and one of my fave animated movies since i saw this in it's 1999 theatrical release 3 times and one of the coolest animated movies around, a nice cast in the dub too and a good dark story, kind of like 1999's Avatar sort of speak.

Aladdin: A thanksgiving time tradition movie i watch every holiday season, i saw this 4 times in theaters when i came out and became one of my favorite movies, i hope this hits blu-ray sometime. Jasmine is quite a sexy toon chick i should say who i dug when i was 11 and Williams is hilarious as Genie.

Little Shop of Horrors (1986) Theatrical cut on Director's Cut blu-ray: the one everyone saw in theaters with the happy ending plus killing the plant thing, who else saw this in theaters as a kid?

Watchmen Ultimate Cut on blu-ray: Highly underrated and brilliant adaptation of Alan Moore's classic comic/graphic novel, saw this 3 times in theaters and rocked my world as it became one of my all time faves, a fine adult superhero movie with a message and plenty of nice violence.

Watched Diamonds are Forever last night. Definitely an enjoyable and humorous Bond film, but not one of the best. While Blofeld is always an interesting villian, I really wish they would have kept Donald Pleasance around as his Blofeld was so creepy and understated as Charles Gray's Blofeld is definitely not as visually interesting as Pleasance's rendition of the character. At this point, my rankings for Bond November 2012 are as stands:

    1.You Only Live Twice 2.Goldfinger 3.Skyfall 4.Casino Royale 5.From Russia with Love 6.On Her Majesty's Secret Service 7.Diamonds are Forever 8. Quantum of Solace 9.Thunderball 10.Dr. No.

So far, we've finished three Bonds: Connery, Craig, and Lazenby. I'm really intrigued that Dr. No is at the end of my list so far: There are so many great scenes in the movies which I love.

    *Edit*
Ok, just watched Live and Let Die last night. This movie really hadsome fantastic Bond Elements- Baron Samedi, a great theme song, Bond torching a snake with aftershave and a cigar, the boat chase, and of course Jane Seymour!

At this point I'm ranking the films:

1.You Only Live Twice 2.Goldfinger 3.Skyfall 4.Casino Royale 5.From Russia with Love 6.On Her Majesty's Secret Service 7. Live and Let Die 8.Diamonds are Forever 9. Quantum of Solace 10.Thunderball 11.Dr. No.

The Shawshank Redemption - One of the greatest movies ever made. The casting is excellent, the story is well told, and the ending is always a pleasure to watch.

Both of those are excellent movies. I love Maltese Falcon (assuming it is the one with Bogart).

Yes Kain it came out on blu-ray now, you like that version too and a Muppet fan as well?

Jingle All The Way: a holiday guilty pleasure, i still remembered when i visited my cousin/uncle/aunt for Christmas in Mesa/Phoenix when i was 15 when it came out and we saw it and had a blast.

Miracle on 34th Street (1947) on blu-ray: Looks and sounds nice in high def, this is one of the all time holiday classics without a doubt and enjoyed it since 4.

The Land Before Time: Who here remembers this 80s animated classic? I DO, i saw it 5 times in theaters when i was 8 and i had 2 t-shirts, PJs, Pizza hut puppets (you all probably remember them), a few PVC toys from Sears, junior novel, stuffed Petrie and all that. I love watching it every November as an odd tradition.

Brave on blu-ray: Quite a good if not completely original Pixar production, it feels like a Ghibli movie at times than a Pixar movie but still good fun and Merida is a cutie no doubt.

The Amazing Spider-Man on blu-ray: Best Spider-Man since part 2, despite some flaws like Lizard and stuff, this was a solid reboot and the sequel should be better with Electro in it.

Home Alone on blu-ray: Great comedy i always loved since i was 9 seeing it 5 times in theaters and been a fave of mine, quality holiday viewing and one of my fave Hughes movies.

I like almost every version of A Christmas Carol. It is the greatest book ever written.

As for Muppets, honestly, I haven't watched enough to call myself a big fan, more like a casual one. However, I have never seen anything Muppets related I did not like.

Some more Bond watching! Watched The Man with Golden Gun and The Spy Who Loved Me. I enjoyed both, although I think TSWLM is a better film. It felt very much like a Connery Bond film at times, which was a good thing. TMWTGG had some great moments but it also had a few really silly moments. Still quite good, though.
TMWTGG: Christopher Lee is always excellent, Goodnight is quite clumsy and endearing, Knick-nack is quite interesting, the fight with the karate school is pretty fun, and the car chase with Bond and J.W. Pepper chasing Scaramanga is silly but quite fun.
TSWLM: The gun fights at the end are quite good, Bond's submarine car is awesome, the opening ski scene is excellent, the Cairo scenes (especially the show at the pyramids) are excellent, Barbara Bach is excellent, and Jaws is one of the coolest Bond villains/henchmen ever.
    My current rankings:

1.You Only Live Twice 2.Goldfinger 3.Skyfall 4.Casino Royale 5.From Russia with Love 6.On Her Majesty's Secret Service 7. Live and Let Die 8.The Spy who Loved Me 9.The Man with the Golden Gun 10.Diamonds are Forever 11. Quantum of Solace 12.Thunderball 13.Dr. No.

Nell 4/6 , anyway it's about a woman who lives in the wilderness and has grown up outside the world and can't speak......Neeson and the late Natasha Richardson tries to understand her.

Speaking of 12 angry men , the Dirty Dozen....now *those* guys were angry
