I am bumping this to ask this question instead of creating a new thread.

    Does Draego-Man fit in MOTU?

The figure is a masterpiece and one that I can't stop looking at. The bio wasn't the greatest but it does put him in two different eras and to me, he fits in the overall MOTU world nicely. I look at the figure and I want to see his story expanded on, I want to see him in animation, I want to see him in Mini Comics.

When it comes to new characters in the mythos this is how I like it to be done and this one is the best new character in years

    Totally.

Right after Draego's awesome looks, I love the fact that the Evil Warriors can finally break the Air-Superiority of the the Heroics.

PS: Which was long overdue, if you ask me.
Maybe Marzo as an archenemy was the biggest thing to happen to Mekaneck, but as far as Marzo was concerned...it was Tuesday.

The interview with the Four Horsemen, discussing the creation of Draego-Man, is now up in the archives interview section. You can read it here: http://www.he-man.org/resources/archive.php?id=979

Many thanks to Tallstar for helping out with this interview

Well that interview explains a lot, you get talented people who did their homework studying and researching the the line and the mythos and voila, one of the best figures in the line so far!

I picked up a Draego man the other week and agree he is a great looking character and I am happy for new figures to enter the universe - its a shame the other new figures dont look so great so far though

If new characters are to be introduced into MOTU, Draego Man is the model to follow. The Horsemen's contribution to the 30th line started with the Fab Four looking at the line and seeing if something was missing somewhere. When they saw there were no flying baddies and no dragons yet in the line, they decided to create a figure and a character to fill that void, and linked that new character to an existing part of the mythos. This is why Draego seems to fit into the line so well, whereas Spector seems more forced somehow (the line wasn't missing a time traveler with Gwildor already established, so Spector was something of a redundancy to begin with).

Couldn't agree more with this! Draego-Man fits in MOTU perfectly.

Excellent thoughts as always scott metzger!

I want to see Draego-Man get an issue of the digital comic. I'd rather see him than Spector.

That's a really, really good idea!

He has a very interesting backstory, even if it was kind of a Eternian historical narrative it'd be pretty cool. You know, like him reminiscing about his history and past. The events that led to him abandining his name, etc...
Ask not for whom MOTUC is made, it's made for thee.

If you have to disclaimer your like, then you don't really like it.

Exactly. I've been arguing this point to people until I was blue in the fingers! No matter what it looks like MOTU has a visual and naming language. there is a formula to it.

Draego-Man DEFINITELY deserves a digital MOTU comic for himself.

He's been LACKING so much right now in the mini-comics or any new media....

And so far Spector and SLL have been pushed... Sure spector's inclusion isn't a full comic yet but still only he and SLL have comic appearances Photog has nothing nor does Draego - figures that the fans accepted much more warmly than the other two...

That's funny. I just pulled him off the shelf today. He's exactly what I would've wanted as a kid. He's got a great look and had amazing wow factor. I'd have been nuts for him as a kid. Heck, I think he's damned cool now!

I got him in a trade a little under two months ago. Very happy with him. Cool figure, nice and substantial. What's not to like?

Wish we got a dinosaur man type figure in the line too.
