shouldn't thunder punch he-man have a closed fist?

i really like this variant, and the motuc version is well done,
but...well, i think he definitely needs a punching fist!
anyone else?

Yes his left hand should be a fist, especially If he has no action feature Having the name Thunder Punch implies that he packs a powerful punch. I am sure that one reason is so he can hold the sword in one hand and have the shield in the other. I can understand that perspective but I think we have plenty of He-Man figures now with open hands. Putting one closed handed He-Man in the mix would be a nice change of pace and it fits this particular incarnation perfectly.

I don't care for the idea, myself. The 'grip' hand functions perfectly fine for punching. With the added bonus that he can hold accessories in either hand this way.

I agree; the hands are perfectly sculpted to hold or punch, in my opinion. What I think they should have done was sculpt some sort of translucent "thunder smash" to put over his hand and sort of simulate the old action feature.

Nice call. I love 'action effects' like that. I currently have some DCUC Energy Superman 'flames' that I use with Evil-Lyn and Skeletor, but we could really use some official MOTU effects.

I love just the way he is with both gripping hands!
That way there's more action with the accessories.
The sculpted grip is good enough as a fist

I'd love a 'punching hand', but Alexx's idea of a translucent thunder smash effect would be a viable alternative.

Yep, gotta go with a punching fist. If you don't, then you should call him "Thunder Open Hand Punch He-Man" hurts like heck but not as effective

. I'm all for holding weapons, but the whole point of Thunder Punch He-Man is a closed fist. If we are trying to preserve the initial intent of the figure, then he needs to have at least one closed fist.

Yeah! I've been screaming this desire for as long as I can remember!

I love the idea of effects simulating the action features. I like that the 4H Dragon guy's got flame effects, at least.

My preference would be a closed fist as well. Also wish you could put the sword into the holster on the shield, like I use to do as a child.

I totally agree, Thunder Punch He-Man is not Thunder Punch He-Man without his FIST!!

He NEEDS a 3rd punching hand maybe as bonus accessory.

I'd only want a fist if it was interchangeable. I want him to be able to hold his sword and shield at the same time.

I agree! I also want a closed fist. Since his shield clips on, he only needs one hand to hold his sword.
