We certainly view folks on this forum as a group that we want to please with the movie. We are counting on you all to get the word out when the time comes, as you are the go-to forum for MOTU. We're coming to this project as fans--not of the superfan variety like you all, but big fans, nonetheless. So, we're aiming to do the best job we can including everything we--and you--would want to see out of a documentary about He-Man. We're bound to disappoint almost everyone at least in some small respect, because the story is SO BIG, with so many different avenues, alleyways, and unique story-lines. We're still figuring out what the movie is going to be. We know that we want to include as much inside stuff as possible while still making it interesting for a wide audience--an audience that isn't necessarily even interested in MOTU. So, it's possible that some in-depth details may be sacrificed for the overall story, but that's the same with any creative endeavor. Suffice it to say, we have hours and hours of great interviews, and they will wind up somewhere, most likely DVD extras and web clips. So, everything that we've gathered will be shared with you all in some way, eventually. It's been fascinating talking to all these amazing people, and we look forward to being able to show stuff to you--the most discerning and eager portion of our potential audience.
I know when news like this comes up, the excitement is mixed with a little suspicion and skepticism, which is understandable. I just wanted to drop by, say hello, and try to assure you that we're coming at this from a fan perspective, and we welcome any questions or comments as the production goes on. It's going to be a little while before we have anything ready to show, and even then, as we're doing this all on spec, we don't know what the future of the film will be. But we hope with the buzz and excitement folks like you can generate, our movie, once complete, will find a proper home so that you all can get to see it.
In the meanwhile, I'll be checking in here and Facebook if anyone wants to chat about stuff. Thanks so much for your excitement and support! It keeps us going when we're slugging gear around for the hundredth time, asking ourselves, "why are we doing this?!".
Thanks, and be well!
